naknampucha! wow! ang ganda! nakakapantulo laway naman 'yan!  *drip* *drip* *drip* ;)

p.s. i noticed a number "agent 385"(?) on the side of the metal case... is this their clever way of "numbering" this set?

One of the best documentaries out there and with the production values and kenneth branaugh's narration (well, nice to know that he can have a future here doing this), i've watched it again and again. didn't buy the box set as i bought these titles as they came out.

Saw a recent issue of Home Theater and they voted The Godfather DVD Collection as one of the top DVDs (no. 2 I think).

Certainly, in terms of content, it would be a must-have.
But the transfer, both in terms of video and audio but especially the video, is awful. I wish they did a better job on that one.

Fassbinder's BRD Trilogy (Criterion Collection)

They say this is could be the best of all Criterions.
The description from the site reads:

By the age of thirty-four, German director Rainer Werner Fassbinder had already directed nearly twenty-two feature films. In 1978, he embarked upon a project to trace the history of postwar Germany in a series of films told through the eyes of three remarkable women. Fassbinder’s The Marriage of Maria Braun, Lola, and Veronika Voss—the BRD (Bundesrepublik Deutschland) Trilogy—would garner him the international acclaim he had always yearned for and place his name foremost in the canon of New German Cinema. The Criterion Collection is proud to present these films as a group for the first time ever in home video.

I'm not too much of a fan of LOTR series (though I have the individual DVDs for my collection), but I definitely agree that the box sets are awesome! My Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park and Back to the Future Box sets are cool too. Alien Quadrilogy too is a good addition to anyone's collection... :D

ganda ng menus!!! but the packaging on the pic is different. the case, as stated, is just an expanded jewel case, not the DVD-sized one the pic.  ;)

i didn't know there was an electronic copy of the original booklet (which i misplaced) on DVD 2. i havent checked it out. heheh. that should be interesting.
