I was looking around earlier today in astro and I asked (but not hoping) if they would release this dvd. To my surprise, the guy said it is possible and he even showed me a small leaflet which featured Magnavision's release for April 2006 and FF VIIL AC was among the dvd's featured there. Is does not say any details though. Hoping is the same as the R1 release.

according to sensasian, there will be an r3 regular and limited edition, with the le having 2 discs.
don't know what the diff is tho. maybe the le will be the same as the r1 release shown in amazon.

is there any news as to which ed will be released here, if ever? and how much?

Normal dvd release from columbia tri star is around 999 or 899 for 2 disc. These are import but with no barcodes at the back.

Hopefully after R1's release ilabas na ito locally. But i asked the sales person at Astro.. wala pa daw sila balita kung lalabas sa dvd. I dunno kung reliable yung taga Astro eh mukang hindi rin nya alam yung tinatanong ko.

I got a copy of the 2-disc edition last week from Hong Kong. I was kinda worried that we'll never get it here or we'll have ourselves another inferior product.

does is include english language? I remeber when they released kung fu hustle. No english language. Only R1 have eng lang. :'(

If I remember correctly, I heard English dialogue when the DVD was being played at local Hong Kong DVD outlets.

Despite zero familiarity with the game, I was drawn to good reviews so I took the risk and ordered the R1 2-dvd set from Amazon at $14.96. To save on shipping cost and efforts in going to the post, I partnered it with The Naked Gun dvd gift set which dropped to $14.97.

Meron na dito sa Singapore. R1 2discs is 47.90sgd and R3 2discs is 27.90sgd.

CD-Wow HK lists two versions of R3 releases.
single disc release
two disc release
This would've been great if it had a DTS track
From the details of the releases the R1 & R3 two disc SEs look familiar except for the subtitles

R3 lists for 205HKD while R1 is 219HKD. That's almost a 100Php difference.
Take note of the production date though. The R3 was produced later.

I could have lived with a budget title but the dialogue is strictly dubbed in English. There is no option to use the original Jap dialogue. I really prefer Jap dialogue in movies like this.

DVD 5. Smokes and fog scenes seem to suffer graphically, don't know if the DVD9 version looks the same.

the question is will it be released in dvd9? cos if it wont ill get the R1 version. only hope that it will be released in dvd9 here so i will save some few hundreds.

saw this in astro as well, my God, they ruined the presentation of this really good title. It's only in one disc and the label printed out sucks. Parang bulok or low tech ung pinang print, the labels on the rear is almost the same as the r1 but there's something wrong with the colors. I'd recomend getting the r1 or r3 from other countries. Stay away from this local "buget" release.

I was able to buy the 2 disc special edition kanina sa astro at 895. All special features are intact from the r1 release. It even has the original jap dub. But, I'm not sure if it's DVD9. Most likely it is. How cna you tell if it is DVD9 or DVD5 ba

Most of the time (but not all) if its 895, and there's an 'Imported' sticker on the outside, it's most likely DVD9. Personally, I slip the disc into my Computer DVD drive, and use explorer to see whether it's over 4.2 GB, if it is, then it's DVD9.

I should have waited.

Bought the 'budget release.'
