Further Details:
Fox Home Entertainment has announced the eighth season of The Simpsons which includes twenty-five episodes of the hit animated series. Each of the episodes will be presented in 1.33:1 full frame, along with English Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. Extras will include multiple commentaries with Matt Groening and crew, deleted scenes, a Simpsons House Featurette with James L. Brooks, three Animation Showcases (Treehouse of Horror VII - Act III, In Marge We Trust - Act III and The Secret War of Lisa Simpson - Act I), illustrated commentaries (Treehouse of Horror - Act III, Lisa's Date With Density and Homer vs. The Eighteenth Amendment), and a deleted scenes gallery with optional commentary by Al Jean, Mike Reiss, Josh Weinstein & Steven Dean Moore. Completing the set will be promotional spots featuring Matt Groening, a sketch gallery, and a Special Language Feature: 4 Extra Languages on Homer's Enemy.
