Last year gave us BIG TIME & PAGDADALAGA NI MAXIMO OLIVEROS. What's in store for us this year? I saw the two entries at UP Film Center. I missed the screenings at the CCP wherein the atmosphere was so festive and very indie! Its like the MIFF back in 1982.

THE DAWN's biopic is one of the entries this year coinciding with the bands 20th anniversary.

Why not change the title to SALAMAT or ENVELOPE IDEAS? Thanks for the info, edboy. Who's the filmmaker behind it and who played the late Teddy Diaz?

It has something to do with the story and its really very interesting for an 80s baby like me

..Directed by Mike Sandejas(correct spelling ba?) any relation to Manu?

Cool. Edboy is it in the can already? Jet Pangan looks like Joe S from the movies of Seijun Suzuki. Ping Medina can act but layo sa personality ni Teddy Diaz.

Not sure if Mike is related to Manu, but he has been line producer on a number of films , including Lav Diaz's "Hesus Rebolusyonaryo" and Gil Portes' "Homecoming", and worked as production manager on Bayaning 3rd World. This is his first attempt at a feature-length script, and at directing. Heard good things about the script. Look forward to seeing the finished film.

had never ending stories of The Dawn a tru blu fan indeed hehehehe he locked thimself for six days.daw .Kain at ihi lang daw pahinga just to re write the story and still cant muster how the hell he was able to come up with a good one, even producers cant believe he wrote it all by himself...Dawn and rock fans are in for a treat here

..Do i sound like im promoting it na? hehehehe btw Manu is his cousin pala

Did Mike Sandejas followed THE DAWN's first gig up to the reunion of the group? This film might surpass the accolades of THE DOORS & ALMOST FAMOUS.
