I don't know fiddlers_green, but my guess is not higher than P100 bucks for professionals. The website of CCP is still under construction.

They have a one-day pass screening, if I'm not mistaken. But darn, I forgot again the price of the ticket. Go to the screening, dude.

This is just a one-week screening of digital films, once a year only. I just wish CCP is a stone's throw away from my office in QC, hehehe.

Cool fiddlers_green.

If you are tired of conventional movies, try to see the line-up of Cinemalaya this year.

Please verify, but ive read from a recent article from the Inquirer that a single screening will cost 50pesos for students, 100pesos for general admission, in addition, there is indeed a whole day pass-or one pass for 5 films, not quite certain now, that is 200pesos.

Tanong, for a lone individual like me, can i purchase the ticket on the day itself, or do i have to make reservations pa?

I do have some free time on wednesday and thursday. I want to make the most out of it and watch some home grown movies.  :)

Sir, I think you can still purchase whole-day passes for Wednesday and Thursday. Availability of whole-day passes for the weekend may be doubtful. Try to catch Cavite this Saturday.

Check availability of passes with the CCP Box Office (832-3704). :)

Saw KUBRADOR last night, we are already late by 15 minutes when the film started. I got a free pass thru my good friend dvdhunter and seated at the balcony. Its the best Jeturian film to date.

After the screening, we chill out with Joyce Bernal at Dencio's and the cast and crew of last year's big hit MAXIMO arrive at the next table. Hey indie boi, Joyce is sending her regards to you! She's the coolest filmmaker that I ever met.

Bring your jacket when you watch at the CCP. Its so cold inside the theatre. Its my first time to watch at the CCP, the atmosphere is the same that I felt when we troop to watch ORO PLATA MATA at the now defunct Manila Film Center. The only diffrence is, I was rejected from that screening.  ;D

Its P200.00 for Cinemalaya Day Pass (valid for 5 screenings for one day) and P750.00 for Cinemalaya Festival Pass (valid for any screening).

Riverfan, I'm not sure if you have to avail of reservations pa on the day itself.

If you do see her again, give her my regards and if possible give her my number too. I haven't seen her in years!

Yeah, man. I'll tell her. I requested her to do a straight horror or drama film next time on her project so that she could finally be recognized and get an award in the future.

Sir, please check films scheduled for Venue 3 (Dream Theatre). Cavite is listed for a 330pm Saturday screening. It is definitely one of the must-see films.

Caught   In Da Red Corner

Not bad, actually... I found the boxing scenes  to be well executed and the material itself was interesting. But having said that, I don't believe it really packs that big a punch (pun intended) and the Lav Diaz influence of long, seemingly aimless takes, is very evident.

Not necessarily, but she can be.

She can be funny, I'll admit that. But she needs to get over the Star Wars love, and maybe open up to the possibility that Lav Diaz's films (or any film over two hours long) can actually be good.
