After the audyssey calibration on my Onkyo 608 i was not satisfied with its audio resolution on movies. It seemed that the sound is muffled, although the punch is obvious. Having been acquainted so much with the Pioneer, I am missing the crisp rendition of the gunshots and vehicle crashes on action movies. Until this time I am still trying to figure out the best sound that suits my taste from the Onkyo.
The audyssey calibration brought me these measurement values:
SW ------ yes
Front ---- 150hz
Surround - 120hz
Center--- 60hz
FH ------ 150hz
SB ------ 150hz
SBC ----- 2 channel
Last night before i signed off, except the center, I manually set the F,S,FH and SB into 80hz. I still dont know the effect of my manual assigning of values on the quality of the sound. So can somebody clarify this please. The THX measurement is 80hz in all channel i think, so I just followed that.
Later tonight, I also intend to set manually the speakers on 0.0d db just to feel it.
