can i use a power amp for Front Left and Right preouts? then surround back left and right preouts for bi-amp using a power amp as well?
it would go like this:
Front Left and Right preouts > power amp > Front speaker (low)
Surround Back Left and right preouts > power amp > Front speakers (high)
Front Wides Left and Right from 807 > front wide speakers
mali yata yan bro. i doubt you'll get front signals from the surround back preouts even if you set to biamp. when set to biamp mode the processor will divert any surround back signals (from full 7.1 encoded source) to the surrounds and feed the 807's internal surround back amplifier section with signals from the fronts.
if you plan to get a 5 channel amp, my suggestion is to use rca splitters for the 807 front preouts then use the power amp front and surround channels to biamp the front, then 807 center preout to HK center to drive the center speaker.
807 front preouts -> RCA splitters -> power amp fronts -> front woofers
-> power amp surrounds -> front tweeters
807 center preout -> power amp center -> center speaker
807 surround speaker outs -> surround speakers
807 front wide speaker outs -> front wide speakers
807 surround back speaker outs -> cmiiw, wala na dahil 807 can only handle 7 channels. so you have 2 fronts, 1 center, 2 surrounds and the remaining 2 channels are either zone 2, front wides, front heights or surround back. and audyssey discussions always recommend wides before heights.
