KAGAT NG DILIM by Cesar Hernando
« on: May 30, 2006 at 07:21 PM »
The directorial debut of Mr. Cesar Hernando who did the excellent production design in Mike de Leon's KISAPMATA & BATCH '81 will be screened tomorrow 7pm at MyCinema in Greenbelt, Makati City. Although a short film only, it looks like a full-length feature. The cast includes Piolo Pascual, Yul Servo, Roeder, Mike Lloren and Jess Evardone. Sponsored by Fuji Keyser Mercantile and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.

The short feature tackles aswang legends used in the psy-war tactics employed by the Central Intelligence Agency against Filipino subversives in the 1950s.

Will see this tomorrow.

Caught this one last night, and its creepy, suspenseful, concise. Within 14 minutes you are trapped in an impending doom on how will you face your real enemy.

The blood squirting scene is so realistic and not for the squeamish! There's a twist at the end. Mr. Cesar Hernando should make this a full-length feature.
