huge capacity?  it has 25gb on a single sided disc.... ;D   this is gonna be pricey i think..

magiging standard din yan, ang CD-rom a few yrs ago napaka mahal, ngayon super cheap na :)  blueray has more storage capacity than dvd :) 50gb ata

definitely... whoever wins the "format battle" (HDD vs. Blu-Ray) will be a sure winner. the size of capacity alone makes it a LOT better than the current digital versatile disc format.  ;D

the operative word here is "YEARS"... i think, it'll take a while (at least a year or so) pa before this technology becomes affordable enough for the mass market level...   :-[

Accdg. to these articles, seems like we would be expecting those optical drives to be available in our shores by next year pa.  :-\
