I rewatched TITANIC last night and turned the volume up a little higher. I was amazed at how good it sounded, even on my TV.

Komikero,

Yes It's TITANIC in THX! okey yan ModKomikero!

gotta add vertical limit to the list!
i 1st rented this and i found the story very weak, pero i was impressed w/ the audio quality...so kahit pangit yung movie, i still bought the dvd dahil sa sound mix! :)

Vertical Limit was the first ever dvd I (and our whole family) watched.  Like bently, everybody was really impressed since we all felt like we were inside a theatre and it made me say to myself that I made the right decision buying the player (even if it was on impulse).  :D

Best sounding to me means great music
I have REM, Bjork, Sarah Mclachlan, Dave Matthews,
Eagles, Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, Natalie Merchant etc. But I like Jeff Buckley's Mystery Whiteboy the best.
Also films with great soundtrack like almost famous and the commitments are awesome!!!

Woody Allen movies are dolby digital pero mono.

Saving Private Ryan DTS
The Hauting DTS
Jurassic Park (corrected edition) DTS
The Cell    Dolby digital
U-571 DD/DTS
Episode 1  DD

Old movies usually has Dolby Digital 2 channel lang.  I have Ice Castles and Made in America for example.  Bitin talaga sila which usually forces me to use DSPs para magamit naman the other speakers.

Well, I am adding THE ONE to the best sounding DVDs in my collection.

Jaws Won an Oscar for best sound while its original sound were Mono.  Star Wars signaled the start of Stereo sound on movies.  alot of the old movies soundtracks are remixed whem re-released on the dvd format.

The One have perfect ratings for audio and video, Reference quality.  Rated by Widescreen Review Magazine.

If you say digitally remastered, do you mean getting the original soundtrack and remixing them or do they create a whole new soundtrack for the whole movie to come out with Dolby Digital or DTS?
