i am not sure if it will be shown in sm mall of asia. according to their ads, the films will be shown in sm megamall and sm manila on june 21-25. aside from the classics, they will also show their digital films via their cinemaone originals.
Absolutely no regrets!

Baka the sceening at Mall of Asia didn't push thru. Blessing in disguise! Its very far from my place and work. Sm Megamall is the better choice. I can tag along some friends there.

Asedillo is probably on video only, but maybe FPJ lent a print.

"Laurice Guillen lent them her 35mm copy"

So she had a copy all this time? Hmph.

I guess Laurice thought that she'd be earning a lot more if she keeps the copy than sell it at a "palugi" price.  Usually, ABS-CBN buys the rights of a particular movie at a certain amount only.  All its earnings will be theirs to keep.
Absolutely no regrets!

I thought SALOME's masterprint is lost already. Armida who financed the film with Bancom Audiovision only had the existing original vhs tape in her collection.

Celso Ad's PATAYIN & ASEDILLO were both real treat!

This is the list of Pinoy Classics that will shown during the festival:

Oro Plata Mata
Temptation Island
Maynila Sa Mga Kuko Ng Liwanag
Salawahan
Omeng Satanasia
Bona
Salome
Manila By Night (City After Dark)

Di ko alam kung may kulang pa sa list. Ang bili kasi ng TV Ad ng C1.  Included din 'yung mga digital films nila:

Sandalang Bahay
Dilim
Sitak
Sa North Diversion Road
Anak ni Brocka
Anak ng Tinapa

Thanks for posting the sked, joey! Texted Ronald Arguelles a while ago, Celso Ad Castillo's PATAYIN MO SA SINDAK SI BARBARA & ASEDILLO won't make it in the festival.

Ms. Susan Roces won't lend the masterprint since they are having the inventory of films at FPJ library. Darn!

They were negotiating as far as I know too long ago pa for PATAYIN. Dunno why it takes too long to borrow the print from Ms. Susan Roces.

She should move on na for better things.  ;)

The films to be shown have cuts, Sm policy rules- R13. But the good news is, Cinema One have the best available print on these classic films, although they used video projector.

Congrats to Cinema One for preserving the print of ORO PLATA MATA. The one that I saw yesterday is perhaps the best, pristine and clean masterprint although they just projected it on the big screen by copying it on another format.

Colors are alive and vibrant! Its nice to see new generations of moviegoers appreciating this kind of film. But then they were confused again with that enigmatic character of Kuh Ledesma.  ;D ;)
