Altec Lansing vs. Compo Question.
« on: Jun 24, 2006 at 11:12 PM »
I was always interested in acquiring those satellite speakers from Altec Lansing. Are they comparable to bookshelf speakers? I got used to those bookshelf speakers that came with a mini-compo (Pioneer) and I'm wondering if those pc satellite speakers have the same quality as them?

I'm interested in particular to the Altec Lansing AP3.

Also, can I also use the satellite speakers minus the subwoofer just in case I need some audio for a laptop?

Try auditioning altec products in SM appliance.
Then try auditioning some compo.
Then be the judge.

Also, can I also use the satellite speakers minus the subwoofer just in case I need some audio for a laptop?
Not that easy to accomplish.
