sony 333ES, pero hindi siya sa little chattys, nasa loob siya ng Pier shopping center sa bukana lang ang mga katabi niyang shop sa loob mga surplus TV's. actually dalawa lang silang nag titinda ng mga surplus amps dun sa loob si manang saka yung lalaki. madami silang naka tago na surplus amps dun.

Had all my tubes tested at Phasetron. All pairs matched, except for one pair which had a slight deviation. The 5751 Sylvania pair double mica round getter grey plate had readings of 60 and 72 respectively. Noel of Audio Amp said that this deviation is acceptable.

Kaya eto .... now using the Blackplates and Cleartops i bought. Happy Spin Customer!

btw, those looking for 12au7 substitutes, you may wanna check out Dumont5963 (kung meron pa). i compared it with their RCA5963greyplate- they look the same.

congrats sir eestrera! just in time buti may naabutan ka pa. di bale, ok naman ang mga nabili mo- darkhorse underated tubes na di pahuhuli sa best of 'em. just be patient let it burn-in and blend with your gears, after a few days / hours its rough edges will smoothen and reveal the beauty of the beast

could you help me out? Where could I buy GE 5670 tubes? or any other 5670 tubes? Sana around Manila area lang. Malate kasi ako e. If anybody has experience with these tubes, pa share naman ng experience. What brand - sound charcteristics?

You can download the Glass audio 12au7 pre-amp circuit. The power tranny can be easily fabricated, and all the parts are available. When I built mine years ago, it cost me roughly P 3,000 pesos.

I might be able to collect a preamp kit for you, I have sources for most parts for a tube preamp.

The big question is, what tube and what circuit topology would you want to build?

On a tight budget.

How much would it cost to build a DIY tube pre-amp?
Kung may kasamang pre-out?

Will be use to pair with a BADA power amp and B&W bookshelf speakers.
Music like audiophile voices are the ones to be played.

Including tubes, I don't think you will spend more than 12K on a foreplay inspired preamp (this will be using good quality parts).

Now, if you start using boutique parts such as "audiophile" labeled capacitors, then it will get quite expensive.
