My architect friend allowed me to post his HT:

Yes, we call this guy.. Mr. LUHO

He was one of the first among us to tinker with the HT hobby years ago. The AE300 was a bit expensive back then. The AE700 came out so he upgraded to it early last year and decided to put the PJ screen at the base of his bed and use the AE300 for internet browsing, LOL.

The chairs are massage chairs from his in-laws. They were not working and had to be repaired so my friend just used them for his HT instead of his old plan to use theater seats.

parang may resemblance ang design sa room mo sir matz ah!(the first pic) more on blue nga lang yung iyo. hmm..matinding hawa pala ang nangyari sayo...

Matzter, the place of "Mr. Luho" looks so relaxing. The lighting creates a very nice comfortable mood.

Thanks for posting the pictures; these really help provide ideas to pinoydvd'ers in improving our set-up.

Kaya nga Mr. Luho tawag namin sa kanya. He lives in a townhouse and had a HT in his garage. After some time, he bought the adjacent townhouse unit and built this room and transferred his gears here. His older AE300 PJ that he used in the older setup became his "web browser", lol.

Maraming syang pang gastos eh. sayang lang he is so into golf now so he doesnt use his HT room that much anymore.

Mine is much simpler but using veneer wood panels was inspired from his setup. But I added considerations for audio listening for my setup.

Hawa? not really. He and another friend were into the hobby almost 2 years before I started, and with very expensive gears. They were from wealthy families so in my mindset, HT was only for the likes of them, so I never delved into the hobby.

My "hawa" came from a pinoydvd member friend of mine who was a simple working guy, but he had a ton of DVDs and a 2.0 dynaudio setup. He broke my mindset of the HT hobby being for the rich only. Moral: "pag gusto mo talaga, kakayanin mo"

So with my limited resources, I started the hobby , joined pinoydvd, got more SARS and the rest was history.
