Flatscreen ... LG or TOSHIBA?
« on: Jul 18, 2006 at 08:46 AM »
Generally, what brand would you get for a flatscreen? Toshiba or LG?

I'm in china and the TV's here are cheaper than in the Phils. I am choosing between two 42 inch TV here since same price sila. The Toshiba is 11980RMB and the LG is 11990RMB. I have free shipping and I'm going back to the phils within two months. I would not want to miss this opportunity of getting a nice TV at this price. Warranty is a concern but its an accepted risk for me. So if anyone has ever had long term problems with both brands please post  :)

I tried looking around the web for info on the toshiba, pero puro chinese lahat yun website.

Here's a sample in case you can read chinese..

Yun LG may nakita ako sa web, and the reviews look solid.

I had 2 Toshibas before (28" FACE Widescreen and a 32" FACE Hi-def Widescreen).  Both are great performers and I just sold them for the reason of upgrading my display.  They maintained their picture quality since the day I bought it until the time I sold it.  So I will vouch for this brand.

I didn't have any experience with LG TVs coz I never had one.  :-\
