hindi ko na sa Spin nakuha ang tele smooth plates 12AX7 with the Diamond logo sa ilalim. Sa kabilang site ko na binile. Sobrang bihira na kasi kaya I took the plunge na. Oh yes, best of both worlds. Light and Day. Pwede nako maging si "Blade".

mga bro, meron ako dini-dispatch na bnew 1 pair 12ax7 and 1 pair 12au7 na Electro Harmonix. 1k per pair. Txt me lang. Di pa gamit becoz of tube finds sa spin na kinabit ko agad sa amp ko. 09178992631.

sorry medyo ot to. Don't want to start another thread just for this question. Need your advise on any substitute (if there is any) for the 7247 aside from th Sylvania 12DW7? Any info would help. Pasensya ulit.

Just sharing my experience with the 5751 GE replacement I got from spin. Was kinda dissapointed at first kasi di ako umabot sa Sylvania but told myself (with sir oweidahs help) to try out the GE 5751, a somehow underrated tube in this category. I replaced the 4 telefunken 12ax7's of my fisher x-100 with the GE's, listened to it, put back the tele's, then back to GE's for about 3 times. Was a bit surprised to find out that I actually liked the sound of the GE's better. With the tele's, I've been getting a louder bass but the mids and the highs were not fantstic, sounding a bit boxy. The GE's though giving a more tempered bass, gave better highs and a marvelous midrange. Don't really know how else to compare but just through sheer listening and hearing the difference based on my personal taste.

I learned an important lesson here, don't under estimate tubes that are not so popular. Actually, medyo latak na tong nakuha ko. But so far, I'm glad I tried it otherwise I wouldn't have thought that these not so popular tubes could actually sound good. I agree that they are underrated, well at least for me and my equiptment.

tapat-tapat lang yang, you're lucky the ge5751 matched well with the fisherx100's circuitry & other tubes.
hope ok din yung dumont5963 & philips5963. give them some time to "burn-in" smoothen the rough edges and blend with your gears.

Hi sir,

As of now, i think i'm gonna keep it first for another gear that i'm eyeing. 12ax din kasi gamit. But if i decide to let it go I wil surely let you know.

I just got a pair of Sovtek 12ax7LPS from Phasetron. Using them for my CJ integrated. I really like the sound they produce. Quiet, all you hear is the music. Details are more precise than will the old tubes I was using (NOS Nationals).

If you do not mind new production tubes, you might want to give these a try

The CV4004 is also a good substitute to the 12ax7. In fact, it is described in tubeworld.com as one of the best sounding 12ax7. CV4004 mullard is the rugedized version of the 12ax7, more durable military tubes. But very rare.

the best substitute to a 7591A is a 7591A

meron naman new production 7591A like electro harmonix and JJ, problem is we don't know if you will like it.
