Oh my god! The best news I heard in months! Grease is one of my favorite movies and I am so excited about this! I wonder how the artwork will look like...many Grease fans will be excited to get this and dispose of the other ugly dvd release.

Is anyone as excited about this then I am?

I'm a huge Grease fan, but will first check on what the deleted scenes are and who's doing the commentary before I double dip, since I don't find the old release to be that bad:

Ah! Then you definitely should upgrade. I remember when that first came out locally, the poor quality of the jacket created a bit of a commotion here at PinoyDVD, since it was the first time Magna titles looked that ugly: http://pinoydvd.com/board/index.php?topic=10010.0

Nowadays almost all Magna titles and most VIVA-Disney titles look even worse than those did!

I'd prefer a deluxe edition of Grease 2 with Michelle Pfeiffer finally giving an interview about her infamous launching vehicle.

A Pfeiffer-Maxwell Caulfield-Adrian Zmed-Lorna Luft reunion would RULE!

Oh, I didn't think it was bad at all. Grease is a classic, but Grease 2 is a cult classic.

Back on the topic of the original film: I hope Grease worked out its licensing problems with Coca-Cola before the film was remastered for this new DVD. If there's one thing about the old Grease DVD that really bothered me, it's the scene in the diner with Olivia and Lorenzo Lamas: You can clearly see that the large Coca Cola artwork behind them is being digitally blurred, and very poorly, at that - the blurring would even overlap on their heads at times.

and last year I went to LA and visited some of the locations from my favorite movies. Here's me at Rydell high school from "Grease 2". Actuallyit's Excelsior High School in Norwalk, CA

Rydell High School from the first "Grease" was actually Venice High School in Venice, CA.

I was kinda comfused cause I thought that they were the same schools, but the 1st movie had these bushes at the center of the school, while the first one didnt.

thanks! It's sort of a hobby of mine, going to the locations where some of my favorite movies were filmed. If your'e interested I can show you pics of locations from "Back to the Future", "Pretty Woman", "The Fast and the Furious" and TV's "Batman".

Thanks for that! I cancelled my more expensive order and reordered the items. You saved me Php 160!

What surprised me is that Amazon didn't automatically lower the price of my pre-order to the new cheaper one. Amazon-UK always does that automatically when prices change before release date.
