hi all, experiencing a problem with my denon 1713 receiver (6 years old, purchased in 2014).

I hear cracking/popping sounds from the right front speaker and then the receiver turns off after a while. I tried the following:

1. plugged and unplugged the speaker wires at the back;
2. used contact cleaner; and
3. changed the speaker wire.

It's the same result.

I also tried switching cables - when i plugged the left front speakers to the R speakers plug in the back of the denon, the left speaker started cracking/popping. so it's really the plug at the back of the receiver and not the speaker which is the problem. all others are working.

Is it time to buy a new receiver? Worth it ba ipa-ayos?

Baka minor issue lang yan Sir, capacitor or resistor lang or maybe mai short so the receiver would automatically shut down. If the cost of repair is bearable I would have it repaired. Or pwedi din you could sell it at a catch price then buy a newer model.

Yung sa akin 2009 model pa. It is driving 7 hard to drive, 4 ohm low sensitivity speakers. Buhay pa din naman and for me it still provides the thrills every time I watch movies. Since I'm "overclocking" the amp with speakers that are pigs to drive, I installed a 4 fan laptop cooler on top back in 2012 to suck out the heat. Never had any issues with it.

while i want to upgrade to a 7.1 system one of these months, kung puwede sana wag muna ngayon. haha.

Update: I was able to get in touch with Manuel Sales and he was able to fix my Denon receiver. Due to COVID, however, he doesn't do home service nowadays. I sent him my receiver via Lalamove.

Happy new year!

Need help with my Denon 2311 as the fuse (1.6A) keeps blowing after 2 replacements. Figured there is a problem in the power supply.

Is there someone here that repair Denon AV receiver?

Any other leads for Denon repair guys? Have a relatively new AVR X4200W, experiencing the intermittent shutdown with blinking red LED. Was hoping to get a lead for somebody that can do home service or come over to help disconnect

all sorted, manuel came over and managed to do a workaround to get my unit working. Wasn't able to fix it 100%, but since the issue was with the amplifier portion of my AVR and I wasn't using that (since I have a power amp that drives my speakers), we just bypassed that so the unit doesn't turn off. Recommended!

I just saw that Denon X3700 and X3800 are priced at 65k and 82k at Lazada, respectively. These are the best options for me for those in the hunt for a bang for the buck midrange receiver.
