It doesn't say on the disc itself, but I'm pretty sure it's DVD9, as with all major Fox releases. But I'm not 100% sure on that. Nothing wrong with PQ and SQ on my end.

lxg 2 disc ed. and minority report 2 disc ed. are at 199.each at odyssey the block.

i also saw x-men 2 and 3 at 199. im just not sure if it's the 2 disc ed.

1) Hannibal 2 disc Regular P299 but P199 at Astro Greenhills
2) Little Miss Sunshine Reg. P299 but P199 at Odyssey Mega
3) 13 Ghosts Reg. P249.50 but P199 at Astro Greenhills
4) Rocky Balboa & Last King of Scotland Reg P299 but P199 at Trinoma

Di ko lang talaga maintindihan kung bakit hindi sila centralized lalo na pagdating sa pricing like for example yung nabili kong JACk ni Robin Williams, 75 pesos lang sa sm makati, pero sa iba 199 at 333, same naman ng packaging, region, at contents...

It's like this ( or how I understood it ) -- Some stores like Astro, SM, Video City, etc have already pre purchased some DVDs from main supplier like Viva, Magna, MGM, etc. Since na purchase ng bulk, of course they got it at a much much lower price. So now they can dictate on how to price this P299,P199, P100, P75. Of course, the going price is considered. From time to time, they just want to unload old stocks of titles kaya they bring down price to say P100 or P75. Now, the old stock titles vary from store to store kaya magkakaiba din presyo. So yun Jack na P75 sa SM e P199 pa din sa Astro.

By the way I also got Jack @ P75 together with Moonlight Mile, High Heels and Low Lifes and all are good dvds!!

Same with Fantastic Four:Extended Cut. I bought it from Astro SM San Fernando for only 199.00, then I saw a copy in another Astro shop (I forgot what branch) selling at 550.00.

I bought the independence day extended ed. today for P299 at Astro Festival. The saleslady said the price went up from P199 to P299. i didn't ask why.

I did see the FF4 Extended Cut there, priced at P550. And then there was also the Jaws 30th Anniversary Edition DVD in an embossed slipcover selling at about P1300+ (forgot the exact figure) less 50%, so that'd amount to about P600+. Has anyone here bought that DVD? any feedback as to the packaging, PQ and AQ?

The extended version contains about 8 minutes of extended/additional footage:

The first dialogue between President Whitmore and Constance Spano was extended.
A few sentences were added in the scene as Whitmore proposes to go to DefCon 3.
The first added scene is a dialogue between David Levinson and a colleague at the TV station. He explains that an unknown signal is responsible for the bad TV broadcasting and that he may be able to block this signal.
In the next extended scene Russell Casse meets his son after he was released from prison.
Up next the dialogue between Jasmine and Tiffany in the strip club was extended.
Then there is an extended dialogue between David and his father on the way to the White house. Right after this is an added scene in which David is searching for the number of Constance's handy.
Another added scene features David and his father in the oval Office. The father is talking about the persons who visited this office. Actors, football players and now himself...
Right after Jasmine found the truck, there is an added scene in which the illness of Russell's youngest son is described.
The next added scene features Jasmine as she drives the truck and some survivors through the destroyed city.
Later in Area 51 there is an added scene in which David Levinson and Dr. Brakkish Okun go into the alien spacecraft. Here the Doctor explains some of the alien technology.
As Captain Steven Hiller arrives with the alien visitor, a scene was added in which Russell asks for a doctor for his ill son.
The last extended scene shows Russell's daughter establishing a new friendship while the fight rages above Area 51.

I just realized that my Independence Day dvd, bought 2 years ago from ebay, is the region 1 extended version. It also includes the theatrical version. I will have to watch this again and check it out for myself.

nothing worth going gaga about. it doesnt matter if you have the regular ed, dahil the so called extended scenes should have been deleted in the first place.
