  Regarding the RB 985-Yamaha-Monitor Audio combo,one word...AMAZING!! Lagay ko review ko sa Yamaha thread.

JT,
  The Oppo dvd player is quite good,i have a short review on this sa sources thread.If you have an HDTV,might as well go for the toshiba HD DVD though.

Munskie,

Yup,waiting for the HD-DVD drive for the 360,mas makaka-mura.Pero the PS3 is quite tempting.

Bro, taga US si dagul ha.  :)

Dagul. that is good to hear. I just read the RB985 manual and its uses are amazing. It can be bi-amped for the 4 channels and the center can be used for a pasive sub for a 2 channel setup.

nice setup! i especially like the faceplate on the 360 ;D btw doesn't your oppo get hot w/ the dvd player on top of it? mine runs pretty hot w/ nothing on top of it.

Dito ako based sa U.S. I bought the Oppo direct from their website for $199.00 plus shipping.I will be selling it once the HD-DVD drive for the 360 comes out.I'll be in the Phil. this december.If anyone is interested,just pm me so i'll know if i have to bring it there or not.The yammy, i bought here at a local electronics shop.$415+tax(orig price is $499 at abt electronics).The MA and the Rotel dito rin sa Chicago,saturday audio exchange.Here's their website to give you an idea of what they sell compared there in the Phil.This is just a small audio store pero ganda mga gears nila,new and used.http://www.saturdayaudio.com/

Sir,kasama ba yung manual when you bought the Rotel or did you just downloaded it? I tried rotel's website but they only have the manual for the MKII version.Sulit talaga itong Rotel and sa tingin ko pangmatagalan ;D

I haven't checked but the setup will only be temporary.I'm going to get a small A/V rack for them.

You are right. But after a few searches. The Rotel global site has an error with the mkII. But the North America site is correct.

Thanks.The 360 can do 480p,720p and 1080i through it's component output but only for games and provided you have an HDTV monitor.Graphics are very nice for games.For movies,it can do 480p through component.It can go higher if you're going to use a VGA capable if your TV/monitor supports it.Audio is very nice too.You have a choice between analog and optical. ;D
