The Weinstein Company and Genius Entertainment will release the beloved Cinema Paradiso: Collector's Edition on November 7th. The new two-disc set arrives with both the domestic and extended cuts of the film presented in 1:66:1 anamorphic wide screen, Italian Dolby Digital 5.1 and with English subtitles. Bonus materials will include an audio commentary with Italian film expert Millicent Marcus and director Giuseppe Tornatore, "Love In The Time Of Cinema: Celebrating A Classic" documentary and the Cinema Paradiso-themed episode of Food Nwtwork's "Easy Entertaining With Michael Chiarello". Retail is $24.99.

Also available is the Cinema Paradiso: Limited Collector's Edition boxed set which will add composer Ennio Morricone's soundtrack CD, Cinema Paradiso-inspired recipes from Food Network chefs, collectible lobby cards and theatrical one sheet reproductions. Retail for this will be $39.99.

Finally a two-disc set for this future classic! I have the previous extended cut which is barebone edition. Im glad that the new release has tons of features and extras!

This is a must for all cinema enthusiasts.

I already got the dual-sided DVD version of this film. That also include both the US theatrical and the Director's cut of the film.

Not sure whether to get this one, I seldom watch any documentaries/commentaries that comes with DVDs kasi... but this is such a classic that....

Hi, is this the link of the Limited version? Kasi, special lang (pero 3-discs) ang nakalagay at walang photo... The other one on Amazon is $16.99 preorder. so this $27 siguro ang Limited?

Well, you can always cancel your pre-order just in case amazon will display a different picture of the 3-disc version. For me, I won't take any chances of passing up on pre-ordering, since it bears the word "limited", it might be true, or might not, and I don't want to have regrets.

i believe that's it sir. amazon is usually late in displaying details and pics, so we just rely on other sites to get it

So the additions are really in the extras. Can't get my hands on this one...

I like the Theatrical version better... unlike the 'New' version where you get mixed feelings about Alfredo in the end... Some things are really better left unseen and left to your imagination...

the extras are not that good. i expected more from the "documentary," i cant really classify it as a documentary. Its barely 15 minutes long.

The soundtrack was great. They should have put it in a different jewel case though.

Seen the other region's release and they are way much too better. But double the price that is.
