Olympus Has Fallen

Great movie! However, may inconsistent film editing at the 15:51 minute and 16:21 minute scene mark. Pansinin nyo 'yung facial hair ni Banning sa close-up shots.  :o

Anyway, audio is still top notch!

That's Entertainment! (1974)

Gave a choice of 3 movies, this ended up in the player. MGM wanted to showcase their strength and star power through the 45 years of sound movies compiling clips from their great musicals. Haven't seen this for a while, missed it on the big screen but saw it eventually. Actually a great movie to watch if you're undecided on what musical to view or purchase.

Great blu, quality varies due to the sheer number and variety of movie clips. Parts 2 and 3 are booked for the next few nights, and no, Kuya Germs is not in this movie. ;D

West Side Story (1961)

50 years to get to blu. Not yet perfect (I've read they found the original 6 channel track last year) on video and audio, but the best it's ever been and will be for a while.

The songs in this musical have been used so often at auspicious or solemn events that it almost felt out of place in the musical it came from. Just like the lines at Casablanca that sound cliche-ish, but that's where they came from.

Still a great movie and a favorite.

That's Entertainment! Part 2 (1976)

Bigger and grander than the first one, and a good "index" to pick out a view or purchase.

That's Entertainment! Part 3 (1994)

Our late night movie to complete the trilogy. Almost 20 years after Part 2 was Part 3 released, an aging Gene Kelly narrates a portion. More musicals, also more behind the scenes and outtakes. Very entertaining.  ;D

Gigi (1958)

The requested late night movie. Delightful! A musical set in turn of the 19th century Paris with a young Leslie Caron. The blu is not great, but still much better than previous LD or DVD releases. Great music by Lerner and Loewe, directed by Vincente Minnelli.

The Amazing Spider-Man

Compared with Tobey Maguire's version, I like Andrew Garfield's portrayal of Peter Parker better. It comes closer to the webslinger we all know from animation and comics.  :)
Great PQ and AQ.

Emperor 2012
Very like.  It's all about the story.

Pain and Gain 2013
Like.  Darak is learning how to act.   Walhberg's biceps are getting bigger than his head.  Totally stupid crooks but that made it an interesting watch.

Epic 2013
My nieces and nephews will definitely watch this 10x at least (2x as of this writing).  This is "epic" for kids.   Absolutely gorgeous images.  Must be awesome in 3D

The Great Gatsby 2013
Very Like. Di Caprio really knows how to choose his roles.   Lovely background songs.  Why 3D? Must be the breathtaking house views.

GI Joe Retaliation 2013
Puede na!  Best while doing household chores in a lazy weekend.   ;D  Very loud and action packed!  I only wished the leading lady Joe's body is not fake but the face is very hot nonetheless.
