Michael Jackson's "THIS IS IT" Then it really hit home that he is gone forever and never coming back. It was quite heartbreaking to be honest. I must have seen him a dozen times in concert (I still have the tickets) and to see how much energy and enthusiasm he had for his new shows makes it even harder to watch. R.I.P. MJ

This is on my medium-want list.. Is it a highly recommended, must-own movie sir Paul? It's still $34 at yesasia... might wait for it to drop in price or look for a second hand copy (again).

I liked Vicki Zhao in So Close and it'll be interesting to see her pretend to be a guy in Mulan.

Btw, I was finally able to get Ip Man HK for $24.50 shipped. I'm still waiting for it to arrive though.

Me too...actually Vicki Zhao is the main reason I got this movie. She puts up quite a good performance tho it's no easy task to pretend like a man...oh Jackie Chan's son is in the movie too...

As for the movie itself, depending on individual's taste. It's not a typical action/all out of war or epic battle movie. The fight scenes serve as the story backdrop. If you have watched the cartoon Mulan....then it's almost the same atmosphere. It's a story rich in drama, love, touching moments & of couse the action scenes.

Overall, I'd award the movie a 3.5 stars but as for the PQ & SQ...both get a 5-star rating!!

omg! vicki zhao is in 14 blades??? i gotta watch this one! i downloaded it as a torrent file about 3 days ago but has not gotten around to watching it yet.. i'm definitely watching it tonight! And if it's good, then, i'm gonna go buy it from.. hmm.. i dunno... maybe yesasia or buyoyo or try out amazon china or look for a used copy in ebay or in blu-ray.com. bahala na. haha!

I got Ip Man HK from a member/seller in blu-ray.com.

So well, I'm not really that impressed. Story's okay.. Fight scenes were what you would expect from a Donnie Yen starrer but nothing really jaw-dropping IMO. It didn't have the impact that Ip Man had. Zhao Wei is starting to show signs of aging.

I still much prefer her in So Close. Anyway, I am going to get the BD but not anytime soon. Mulan must come first.

Not yet Ann, the BD is released today. Will surely get it but currently I have a long BD waiting list.

Oh speaking of So Close...I like that movie but too bad there's no BD yet
