Gladiator Sapphire Series

I don't know what to make of the PQ.  Sometimes good, sometimes very good, and at times not so good.  Maybe I read too many bad reviews?  Overall, it's not as bad as I thought it would be.  Actually I like the BD experience as a whole, especially when I take in consideration the movie value which is consistently awesome.  I've owned this damn good movie in practically all formats, starting with the VCD, single dvd, double and triple disc extended version, and what have you!  Really happy to own this in hi-def.  Will I updgrade again for a better version? You bet.

There are 2 Gladiator Sapphire versions: the first release and the remastered version.  Which one did you get? http://www.pinoydvd.com/index.php/topic,109364.msg1239953.html#msg1239953

You need the remastered version.  The improvement is astounding.

Great PQ and SQ!  Solid, crisp picture all throughout.  Splendid camera work too by director.  LP fans should be happy with this release. LP sang a combination of old and new songs.

The Twilight Zone Season 1 1959

Ive only finished watching 4 out of 36 episodes on the 5-disk set but Im absolutely impressed with the image quality of this - black & white image yet very clear, with natural looking grains, natural appearing sharpness, and best of all, zooms well to fit the 16:9 screen - High Definition remaster of an old classic indeed.  It's quite a thrill to watch especially for a TZ nut like me.   My AVR decodes the LPCM audio to Pro Logic only - but it's fine.  TZ doesn't need booming sound.  Absolutely AWESOME find!!!
