still courtesy of blupass: Enter the Dragon
Fine transfer to bluray. Clear video but you can still see the grain of the film and some scenes are under exposed which might be in the original. Malakas and sound effects. A little too much, just like the movie.

Children of Men (2006)

5 out of 5 - Stunning!

Children of Men is maybe the most melodramatic and intense post apocalyptic sci fi film of all time. Yes of all time, its one of my top 5 favorites. You don't need an over the top sci fi sequences with aliens all over or maybe space battle ship wars to have an epic sci fi but Children of Men is something. The story is moving, saving the last baby in the world and that is more than interesting for a story to as simple as possible. It has one of the most stunning visuals with those beautiful shots and camera angles that made this film so innovative. I was stunned for the whole 2 hours thinking this was made in the year 2007 and we should see more of this kind of films especially when Alfonso Cuarón together with the brilliant performance of Clive Owen. A must see, and especially a must have blu-ray copy. Amazing film!

The Artist (2011)

5 out of 5 - an epic tribute!

No wonder why this film is the Oscar pick. Not only it brings back the quiet act genre of films from the early 1900's, but its magical effect that this film has to offer. The quiet black and white picture with the tremendous background music just gives me the nostalgic chills of those early films from the 1930's. Just to watch the story, it is just amazing on how sad this artist could be with the brilliant performance of Jean Dujardin. He is like the modern Clark Gable with that suave look, that charming smile, and he is just so perfect for this film. Amazing cinematography, thinking it's time to celebrate the magic of The Artist. The best film of 2011.

I was hoping to see old material from Hergé like interviews or other video clips. Too much fixation on Spielberg and Jackson.

Don 2 (2011)

2.5 out of 5

Now with all this hype with Shahrukh Khan as an all around action star in bollywood, I was interested to watch his latest films though I'm not a big fan of it. Now bout Don 2, its fun for the masses but it did not impress me in terms of so many reasons. The story is so shabby, there are a lot of very flat and so so cheesy moments, and it has a very stiff dialogue. But then it has all the goods of cinematography improvements. Still a fun but laughable action film to watch. It's more like a spy heist film gone wrong. Well it's bollywood after all.

The Viral Factor (2012)

2.5 out of 5

A nicely done action film from Asian film makers. It has the goods in overall presentation, though I felt that the action scenes are more likely reused "Bourne" scenes sort of. But then, the story is flat as expected, there are a lot of bad and ridiculous moments and made this so over the top. Not good nor not bad at all. This just proves Asian films can be a Hollywood caliber.
