Hall & Oates Live At The Troubadour 2008Finally got hold of this one and as expected, it brought me back to my glorious 80s.
The 1080i transfer is not exactly pristine especially for wide shots but given the dim and blue lighting of the stage, should be understandable. Close-ups are much better in details especially of beard, freckles, body hair, hair strands and sweat - and shows how the famour duo has nicely aged with their locks still enviously full - and 80s.
Some of Hall's falsetto's were rather bitin (due to age perhaps) but in general, his performance was still OK. Soooooo glad that Oates got to sing another full song (and it was performed pretty good) as segue to the more popular She's Gone. Acoustic guitars were used instead of electrics, thus the huge hits didnt actually sound like the studio recording, but it worked well in most songs. TrueHD5.1 soundstream is quite clean, full and proper, although needed a little bit of volume boost compared to other concert BDs.
Nice to include in your collection of concert BDs.
