Yes, it's the naval warfare movie. Not Chinese though, but Korean. It's directed by Kim Han-Min, who did the excellent War of the Arrows. The Admiral is also a good movie; takes some time trying to establish the characters & situation, but the real highlight is the impressive naval battle which takes about half of the run time. Worth watching just for the battle sequences.

I just watched it with a basic soundbar, but based on Blu-ray.com's review, the BD surround sound quality is superb.
