The Matrix..

The Lobby and helicopter scene was really awesome.
Craters on Larry Fishburne's face. Man im sure these actors/actresses dont like hidef. Kita lahat ng flaws nila..

Planet Earth..

1st disc..I really dont know how they filmed this, truly amazing filming to me, how they capture all of this..But I think discovery narration is better.

War mode viewing ako.....

We Were Soldiers (HD DVD)

Highdef's review is right, the vietnam scenes showed better detail  than non-vietnam scenes.....experienced some skipping too.

Black Hawk Down (Blu-ray)

Watched this for the fourth time, and I must say I truly appreciated it this time.   Did a Dolby Digital and PCM 5.1 comparison (downstreamed to PL IIx to my non-hdmi avr), and I could say PCM is better by a mile.   DD sounded muted to me compared to PCM.

My HT really had a humongous work-out!!!  ;D ;D

The untouchables - Pq is really great. 4 1/2 stars, Buildings, walls, old furnitures (can see  paints chipped off the tables), clothings, mountains, Horses hair, facial details looks  pretty good. You name it you will see it, hehe..Just my review, others may view it differently..

Rented from Blockbuster Online. The disc is defective but I did finished it beside the partly muffled sound and skipping video.  :(

Black Snake Moan (HD DVD)

Had time to watch this one over the weekend after the Live Earth concert Marathon on Universal's HD channel (which I was able to record all 22hrs. on my DVR).

Excellent PQ! Good performances by Ricci and Jackson. Watch this if you want to see Ricci topless in HD!  ;D  ;D  ;D

Goblet of Fire was released by Warner on HD DVD in the UK (Can't really recall why it was released there and not in North America). However, early word has it that some of the HP movies -- probably all four previous movies -- may be released to coincide with the home video release of Order of the Phoenix.  No word if it would be released on HD DVD and Blu-Ray formats at the same time as of this moment, though.

GOF is available currently available at Amazon.co.uk, by the way. Kinda pricey at the moment, though, given the exchange rate.

Hopefully they will release a HD boxset from 1-5!  :D

Or probably they will wait until the end of chapter 7 before releasing the "Ultimate boxset"...that will be a very long wait... :-\

Great PQ for a 20yr old film, easily a 5 star rating. You can even see the cameraman's reflection on Malone's windows as UpcomingDiscs.com pointed out. Lacks a little bit on the .LFE side of the DTS-ES 6.1 (1.5mbps) & DD-EX 5.1 (640kbps) tracks.

I watched my first live concert last night on HD (Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire: Live at the Greek Theatre HD DVD) I was  :o :o :o by the superb PQ. I felt like I was there on the theater. . .the skin tones, spot light colors, sweats of the performers :P, etc. . .were fantasticly real and clear. I never saw these kind of PQ on any S-dvds i watched before not even The Cure Live Trilogy(w/c is shot in HD). Finally my bro(non-HD believer) did notice the difference by uttering . . . 'uy alive na alive a . .' i just smiled(hehehe gotcha!).

Previously, after watching a few times in SD DVD, must admit I still find this movie fun to watch again. This time in HD. Nice PQ :)

King Kong (HD DVD)

Rewatched it again......the top notch PQ never seizes to amaze me.   The Dolby Digital Plus definitely aint no slouch, with the sound design utilizing all channels to the maximum.  Wonderin how it will sound in TrueHD...maybe in a extended version.

Stealth (Blu-ray)

Wow!!  I really wont mind Jessica Biel having a more muscular body than mine.   She rocks!!!  Great audio...especially the aerial dogfighting scenes.   Some noise in some dark scenes though.......

U-571 HD DVD

Phew...the PQ is great while the SQ in English Dolby Digital-Plus 5.1 is awesome!!  :o

All my surround & subwoofer speakers had good workouts. Diologue volume is very clear & balance out with all the audio effect. Great bass!  :D
