Apocalypto
Controversial film together with it's director but wow - it's a really high-impact film, tackling a challenging genre.  The HD transfer is just amazing!  VQ:4.5 AQ:4   SOURCE

Pearl Harbor (Blu-ray)

I was a bit dissapointed at first why the soundtrack seems so flat.   Then I realized that the receiver is in night mode!!   I had to start the movie again.   Again great PQ and SQ......... ;D ;D

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Watched this last night to fully grasp the story.

Excellent PQ and AQ just like the other 2 in the series.  :o

My PS3 didn't have any problems playing it at firmware 2.01.

Also, the full trailer of National Treasure 2 is included.

Blade Runner (720p 4.5GB mkv)

Hopefully, it's just the compression but this transfer is not impressive at all in terms of PQ. But probably it is a good indication of the original HD DVD as the compression seems identical to that of other r*pped streams with mind blowing hi-def picture quality.  Tremors and The Thing are older than this title but their hi-def transfers are absolutely amazing, original or not. Well most of Blade Runner is shot in low light in the first place.

Bridge to Terabithia (Blu-Ray)

Really love this movie. I thought it was very emotional... :'( which is something you wouldn't expect by looking at the title/cover.

PQ was really amazing imo!

Yup. I'm officially format neutral now, just got a PS3 last week. Haven't really played any PS3 games on it though lol.

Wow you got your '300' na - grats bro.  Agree with your comments; 'tis aligned as well with the reviews in Hi-Def Digest. The PQ is at 4 and the AQ was rated a perfect 5.

Some quotes:
"...because the film has been so intentionally processed and "degraded," its very nature just doesn't lend itself to the kind of truly eye-popping and ultra-realistic high-def that I've come to equate with the term reference quality. Yes, I know that this is the way the film is "supposed to look," but when you're dealing with a source that is so over-contrasted and "crushed down" -- not to mention intensely desaturated and laced with so much video noise that it seems like a swarm of mosquitoes has infested your television -- for me, the "wow!" factor is lessened considerably."

And the caveat of course...  ;D
"Yet, despite all this intentional degradation, there is also an undeniable beauty to the rough grandeur of '300's visuals. Sort of like a Pixar flick on steroids (without the talking animals), the crushed look Snyder intended gives many of the shots great power because they are so simple -- exactly like comic book panels come to life. The obvious computer-generated landscapes his digital artists have created also give it that dazzling, pixilated eye-candy look of the coolest videogames."

Despite the grainy graphics, a welcome addition to one's HD portfolio. Thanks for the reference sanmig_ph  ;)

Only 1 significant issue for the wife.  Still no English subtitles.  Couldn't convince her to buy the item so I ended up downloading.  ;)  But I would definitely buy this if the subtitle is added to the feature.

Children of Men - that's an acknowledged problem title talaga for Universal.  They actually started a replacement program already.

Just finished Vacancy PQ: 4 AQ: 4 this afternoon.  Perfect for those who want an easy plot with lots of screaming and occasional thrills!  ;D

Suggest you don't watch this after recently viewing the Underworld discs though, cause you may be inconvenienced a bit by Kate Beckinsale's relative 'helpless' state here...  Gorgeous none the less!  ;)

Great video & audio...easily a perfect score! You can now easily distinguish the stunt doubles from the main actors :)
