No Country For Old Men: Excellent transfer. I still don't get why this film won the Academy Awards for Best Picture. Interesting story alright but the ending didn't captivate me. The villain most definitely deserves the acting award though.

Teagan's Juice (HD-DVD): 2-hour non-stop sountrack s*cks! ( ha ha ha ). First time I saw that Filipina porn actress (seriously).

30 Days of Night (BD)

Never watched this at the movies - but great PQ (although grains are present in dark scenes).

Dolby True HD is superb!! This is a good movie for your subwoofer workout as well as the surrounds - especially those gunshots (in the background) .

Beowulf: Ratatouille-like awe in terms of image quality despite the predominantly dark setting. Ridiculous! But it's all CG so it must be astonishing although it could have been a classic of LOTR proportions if this movie were not animated.

Celine Dion: Live in Las Vegas-A New Day (Bluray)

-I wished she sang some of her old favorites. I didn't like the songs much but stage performance and sets were great! I was impressed with the SQ even if it was just downscaled to DD.

Wala pang budget for an HD receiver, eh.

For that reason, I dozed off on this one even though the SQ was awesome. It took me Tina Turner's 1996 Amsterdam Concert DVD to wake up again. Personally, the most amazing thing about Celine's concert is the huge size of the stage.

Barry Manilow's cheesy concert was even more interesting than Celine's. I must be really cheesy though.

After watching the duet of Tina and Beyonce in the recent Grammy's, I'm praying to HD deities to release Tina Turner's 1996 Amsterdam and/or 2000 Wembley Concerts in whatever HD format they want. I loose my virginity all over again whenever I watch her concerts during her prime "rock grandma" years.

I Am Legend (Blu-ray) - Alternate Ending Version

Reviews of this one on BD were spot on! Transfer is very good and the Dolby TrueHD soundtrack will not disappoint - the BIG explosion when the 'infected' were attacking his home will shake your home.

Finally, I like the alternate ending version better than the theatrical version.

P.S.
When you first insert the disc on your BD player, there is a menu to select which version you want to watch.
