Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (Blu-ray)

Although the story is so-so, it's the DTS-HD MA that shines! From the opening titles- the surrounds with discrete effects are pretty much used in this movie along with superb LFE for your subs.  :o Our pet dog was even barking at the sound of the "face huggers" in the forest during the early scenes.  ;D  ;D  ;D

Get this if you want a very good demo movie (sans the story) for your HT system.  ;D

wow i have seen this concert film several times already. i can't believe it  ;D

Video - a lot better than the DVD version, even my wife noticed the difference
Audio - better also, more detail (mids and high) the DVD version is louder and lot more boomy but not as detailed as the BD. BD = Dolby TrueHD vs DVD = DD  ;D

Wild things - pq  is really good also. The chicks did not really get me as hot.
Knights Tale - pq is excellent for me, audio is awesome, my receiver is not hdmi pa. I can imagine how those hdmi receivers will sound. The joust and horses sound awesome.

I AM LEGEND

- despite the bad reviews both local and abroad, I truly enjoyed watching this movie both the Theatrical and alternate versions. But the THEATRICAL VERSION gets my vote. The PQ and SQ are top notch. My wife and I failed to see this one in the theaters so we were both at the edge of our seats in suspenseful moments. THe Lion attack gave both of us a jolt when it came from the Left Back Surrounds panning swiftly towards the fronts!!!

ENCHANTED

- As the previous we failed to see this in theaters and initially saw it on the #@^% copy which was not bad but pales in comparison (obviously) to the BD version. Disney truly knows how to make BD titles!!!We saw it 2 times as well with my 2 y/o daughter who loves the animated part and the song and dance portions of the movie.

Try this album. BD concert are really PQ & AQ excellent. I'm now collecting concert, which are better investment for me because you love to watch and listen to them over and over again.

HAIRSPRAY

I never would have thought this title would make me, my wife and my 2 y/o dughter to stand up and dance. The PQ and SQ are reference quality! How I wish I could enjoy the DTS MA track. Will definitely see it again when funds would permit me to make an amp upgrade! ;)

Appleseed Ex Machina

-.Movie was as  expected of a John Woo movie elaborately choreographed and fast paced fight scenes…..like watching Matrix in animation.    A little love story inserted to emphasize the bond of Deunan and Briareos  This Bluray release wouldn’t produce some oohs or aahs in terms of PQ. (I’ve seen better quality Japanese animation).  But the soundtrack rocks! No need to watch the previous prequels to appreciate this. Overall, a very good buy!

One of my favorite movie  ;) my expectation in regards to PQ improvement was not that high vs my Criterion Copy. But when I watched the Criterion yesterday before watching the BD, the highest bitrate was 10.6 Mbps vs the BD 44.5  :D AQ  also better even if the Criterion has DTS and BD i watched using DD 5.1  ;D Funny thing is I bought the Criterion at a much higher price than the BD. Definetly a must have BD! No regrets with my purchase  ;D
