Try going to electronics depot and check Dolby Pro Logic-II of Denon. I think they are on sale now.

Yeah, why don't you check out Electronics Depot since you're
just within the vicinity...I also saw Yamaha recievers on sale at Listening Room at Megamall the other day. Not sure
about their (Yamaha's) performance though.

if your budget wont fit just get a receiver and two speakers then add ka nalang next time. Dont get a model you dont like, para lang you can complete your system, you will regret it in the future

or check mo yung binibenta ni JT sa asstd. buy and sell na HTIB na pioneer P28K lang at mas mababa pa sa budget mo. but if you want then i would go for levi's suggestion get an good entry level receiver and a pair of good front pair of speakers and add other speakers for the center, rear and subwoofer when budget permits.

Yes, I think it is the Denon AVR-1602 and Denon floor standing speakers combination.

Agree ako sa sinabi nun iba.

Buy a DENON or a YAMAHA amplifier and buy good floor standing speakers muna. Pag me panggastos ka uli, dun ka na bumili ng center and surround speakers plus subwoofer.

Pioneer, may tanong ako.. if i only buy the front speakers, then i watch dvd with 5.1/dts, what will be the result? what will the sound be like? kung walang center, eh di walang dialogue? ganun ba yun?

Furry,

If you only have two speakers, tell your receiver to output in stereo.

You'd be amazed what can ba achieved with a good receiver and a decent stereo pair of speakers (say an entry-level Onkyo & PSB/Paradigm/DM 300/Tannoy) vs. a watered-down-by-budget choice of electronics and so-so speakers.

Let's face it, this hobby is not cheap. Be patient and do it right.

yo furry,

pwede mo i-set sa phantom yung center mo so may dialogue ka na rin coming from your front speakers.

as for your surround manghiram ka na lang muna ng speakers sa mga mini compos pero iset mo lang sa low level yung volume ng rear speakers kasi baka hindi kayanin ng mini compo speakers!

so there you can enjoy na your dvds in 5.1/DTS

You can check out Sights and Sounds Shangrila... I think I saw a pair of those dun sa back. Look for Jun or Tok 6383724

You can also check out Focal in Greenhills they carry JBL... look for Eriz 7263751.

If you really want to check out their SRP, I saw a display of JBL stuff at the SM Appliance Center in Rockwell Powerplant mall. They have the price tags on them.

A warning to you: those speakers are HUGE!

I wanted to get a pair before, but I got turned off by their size when I saw them!

Checkout the audio shop at the 5th floor megamall infront of upscale ( audio studio ata ). I saw them selling JBL speakers. You can try audio den also.

you can choose between denon & yamaha audio video receivers (oks lang yung may dts para di ka na maguupgrade)
try auditioning the b&w dm303 bookshelf speakers which is at 10.3k per pair.
rest of the speakers (center & rears) and the sub will just follow if your budget permits
