I'm not familiar with ultra boy.  But I did remember the invisible man telling Peter

"I will teach you how to pull them out one at a time."...or something to that effect.

BTW, would anyone know how many episodes are left?

After this one only 5 left. Bad news is we all have to wait til April for the next one.

So that makes it 23 episodes? Alanganin naman, sana 24 na lang.

If that's what he said then it may or may not mean he can only use one at a time. He may just have meant teaching him one at a time.

YUP

From AICN:

"After tonight, only five more new episodes left, and you can be pretty certain at least three of those will air in May."

I think it was supposed to be the standard 22 eps this season but I guess they decided they needed to add an extra one for closure. ;D

the next logical question would be when the second season is scheduled to air.

Actually the way the invisible man said it is that he can only access one ability at a time and if he accidentally draws more than one power, he overloads.  Mohinder Suresh also mentioned to Nathan Petrelli that if Peter manifests all that he has absorbed, then Peter becomes combustible.

TV shows usually start in September.

oh yeah... mohinder rocks!

He and Simone were unpopular characters. Kudos to the writers for redeeming them. I also admire how they turned Ali Larter's character/s around. Of course, if there's one thing this show does best, it's those damn cliffhangers!

Just watched episode 18 Parasite!  Of course bitin na naman.

Peter & Sylar meet again.  Good one touching Peter, Sylar.  He now has all the powers you have!  Mas lamang na sa powers si Peter while Sylar still doesn't have Peter's invisibility, flight & regeneration abilities at the very least.....yet!  We now get a glimpse of how he got the scar future Hiro was talking about

Oo nga.  That was what I tried to rationalize also.  We'll know by the next episode...which sadly is allegedly late April pa.

Nice question... Also there's another inconsistency:

How was Sylar able to stop the IV drip with his telekinetic powers? The curare was supposed to inhibit his ability to use his telekinesis, right? And how come his super hearing powers were not blocked by the drug?

I think the explanation for the super hearing power is that it is a "passive" kind of power. It's something that is not needed to be called on or conjured like flight or the ability to stop time. If you notice, the woman who had that power couldn't block it too so she resorted to other means of dulling her powers.

i could be wrong, but i think mohinder said the i.v. was to make his hands numb and to disorient him... so he can't use his power(s), not necessarily to stop them. i don't think mohinder was aware he had telekinesis.

unlike peter, sylar can't switch off the abilities he assumes.

Huge spoiler for Episode 19: ".07%"

Source: http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=9944

In the most recent episode, the ubiquitous Linderman made his first appearance, and told Nathan Petrelli that the congressional candidate was destined to be commander in chief. In ".07%" Linderman continues his pitch.
In the scene, Linderman entertains Nathan in an art gallery which showcases his extensive art collection, paintings of the future all, by Isaac Mendez and people like him. Included among the paintings were those of the fictional Japanese warrior Takezo Kensei. "We all have our roles to play in the events to come," Linderman says. "This isn’t just a collection of art. This is a road map. These artists envision a brighter future. Peace, prosperity."
Nathan jabs his finger at a painting of the New York explosion and asks: "Is this your idea of a brighter future?"
"What if I was to tell you that it was?" Linderman replies.

Linderman goes on to explain that he, too, has powers, which came with an audible reaction from the audience. He’d become aware of them years earlier, and banded together with others like him "to make a difference to the world." But some of his comrades in arms lost their way. "Greed set in, and we split apart. And all the good we’d done, well, it amounted to nothing," Linderman says.
Then Linderman drops a bombshell, literally and figuratively: the explosion is to be the catalyst for a better future. When Nathan wonders out aloud about the cost in lives, Linderman counters, "There’s six and a half billion people on the planet, that’s less than .07%. Come on, that’s an acceptable loss by anyone’s count.""It is your destiny, Nathan, to be the leader who uses this event to rally a city, a nation, a world," Linderman continues. And to drive the point home, Linderman unveils a prophetic painting of Nathan Petrelli in the Oval Office, seemingly painted by Isaac Mendez.
"If you know all this, you also know the exploding man is my brother Peter," Nathan says.
"As I said, we all have our role to play. Peter’s curtain call will come the day after you’re elected."

“.07%,” the first of the final five episode of “Heroes’” first year, is scheduled to air on April 23rd on NBC.
