OK nga yung No Heroics. Talaga bang 6 episodes lang sya? This type of show pwede ma pick-up ng JackTV.

yeah, 6 episodes lang sya. it's from the uk and british shows usually have 6 to 8 episodes per series.

Wow, that was a really bad half season. I hated Chapter 2 when I first watched it until the last couple of episodes, which somewhat saved it from being a total disaster. Villains had no redeeming qualities whatsoever. It made Chapter 2 seem EXCELLENT.

And the teaser for "Fugitives"? I had only one thought when I watched it: Who cares?  ::)

I think I'm done with this show. But then again, I said that about Boston Legal two years ago, and ended up watching up until the series finale last week.  ;D

Mas ok pa nga. Unfortunately, non-US shows are hardly given attention to in these parts. :(

Yup, yup. Hindi kasi gaano no-brainer Brit shows, unlike most US shows . . .like  . . um, Heroes. (When you leave your brain while watching a TV show, saan kaya iniiwan , sa kapitbahay?  ;D ) At bitin siya at 6 episodes. I'm not sure if it gets picked up for a new season. British TV doesn't overdo the way American TV does (ilang seasons na ba yung Steve carell na Office?) pero sayang I could use a few more episodes of No Heroics.

In the meantime, I slogged through the rest of Heroes and got as far as the halfway point and then some  . . .and what can I say? The Worst TV show of 2007 is also The Worst TV Show of 2008. Mas OK pa Ugly Betty. :D

I'll sum up Heroes 3 ep. 1 - 13 as stupidity piled on top of improbability. Compelling characters from the first season are not just a mere shadow of themselves, they've become caricatures. There's just no effort to make the characters' decisions consistent and believable. You've got Sylar who they not only turn bad but also fully embrace his "hunger" but decides not to get the powers of the truly powerful superhumans like the puppet guy.

You then have Peter who wanted to destroy the formula inject himself with it just so he can save his brother.

Unfortunately, I'm a completist at heart. I always finish what I start so I'm committed to watching Heroes until it ends. I'm the guy who slogged on through McFarlane's Spawn despite the atrocious writing only because I started with the series. So I'm hoping Vol. 4 will be infinitely better this time around.

Regarding Brit shows. The Brits know that a shorter series is tauter storywise. Case in point is the excellent Worst Week of my Life, that lasted for six episodes, just enough to represent the actual days of the week. Compare it with the dragging US version of Worst Week, which is already at episode 11. The humor gets watered down.

I actually intend to see this horsedung through,  out of some strange compulsion for junk, like bingeing on potato chips with dip. And also trying to figure out what others still see in it. A mystery for the ages, that. But then again, as The Soup has astutely pointed out, people still watch Grey's Anatomy and that is yet another example of "stupidity piled on top of improbability".

season 2 has 11 episodes.  cut short because of the writer's strike.

not too sure about s3.  the villains arc (or v3) had 13, while the upcoming fugitives arc (v4) shall have 12.

correct me if im way off though...

Hahaha!  I've noticed that while the episodes might not be ideal, those trashing the show still admit they will finish it til the very end "by force" which is kinda ironic.   ;)

I mean if it's terrible I certainly wouldn't watch it.  Or is it a case of the show starting from a cult hit to a guilty pleasure now?
