When I think about it, though - when Colin & Christie were in the Philippines, they told their taxi driver they needed to be fast, and he complied, saying "I have no choice but to break the law," to which they said, "Good." They didn't receive a time penalty for that at all.

I guess the "fine line" distinction here is that in the case of Andy it was him who was driving and did the actual breaking of the law. With C&C, it was "their driver's" fault. (Another possible difference is that Andy was actually caught.)

What I also found unfair was putting that kind of a road block at the end of the leg where everyone had to do it one at a time, making the last team to arrive at the Road Block essentially the one eliminated. They should have put either the Detour or better yet the ATV task at the end to give teams a chance to improve their ranking.

I also did not understand why Andy and Laura's penalty will be imposed at the Pitstart of the next race. Going into this episode, I was getting the feeling that there are certain teams that the production wants to keep for as long as possible.

Particularly since such a penalty is meaningless anyway when the teams will probably get bunched within the first twenty minutes of next week's episode.

It was a non-elimination round, with Zabrina & Joe Jer coming in last. Next week, it looks like they go to the Philippines? It sure looks like it, with a task involving buko shelling, and--brace yourselves--another climbing task, in an area similar to the rock walls in Palawan used in the USA TAR when they came here.

I found it pretty weird. They went to Singapore basically to go to a CALTEX gas station and wash a FORD car, then they left. All within 10 minutes on-air.

The product placements are definitely a lot more intrusive than that Travelocity gnome on the US version.  ;D

It looks like I'll be watching next week's episode just to check what they'll do here  :)

Sayang, di pa umabot yung mga teams natin dito, big advantage sana

Allan Wu: "You are team number three. This guarantees you a slot in the final three."

If I were the contestants, I would've said, "Duh! Obvious ba?"

Most boring final three ever.

Finale next week... if anyone even still cares.

the most ....... unexciting final 3 ever! i mean, you can practically see who will be eliminated.

editing, sound mix are sooooo bland, you dont feel the suspense building!

haaayyy...... will jaz probably wait online on who the winner is.

anyhows, weird naman ng set up ng pag welcome sa winner based on the snippets shown. naka half circle yun eliminated teams sa mat  :P

It's not over yet...there's an "Amazing Race Asia: Memories" special next week--just some behind the scenes stuff; maybe we'll get to see the pinoy losers, heh.  :P

Zabrina and Joejer. They might as well have called it The Amazing Race Malaysia.  ::)

the editing of amazing rice is kinda lame...i mean you can actually guess from the interview who will win the race. also, had a feeling that an all girl team will win coz the ad of caltex featured 2 girls.

incredibly.....boring.  :P

well at least i know now why the eliminated teams are in a half circle on the mat...no space  :P

...They might as well have called it The Amazing Race Malaysia.  ::)

well....air asia is one of the sponsors for this race, maybe that's why they started and ended the race at Malaysia.

About one week after the finalist teams were interviewed in KL (a month or so before they were actually announced), I came across Zabrina's blog. She actually sent in two applications, and it was obvious that she would've preferred her other potential teammate to Joe Jer. She was at a very low point in her life, and her blog entries were rather dreary and despondent.

I'm actually glad for her, since based on what was on that blog, she really needed a morale booster like this.
