For those of you who are thinking of buying an LCD TV for its 1080p capabilities, read the fine print in the specs.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Sony's 1080p models display native 1080p only through HDMI input.  While a Sony Bravia LCD TV will only display NATIVE 1080p material through HDMI, its Bravia Pro 2.5 engine kicks in if non-HDMI inputs are used in order to display lower-res images UPCONVERTED to 1080p.  I understand that only the 1080p Sammy can show native 1080p resolution through non-HDMI ports.

The above info is very important for XBOX 360 users (with HD-DVD players) since Microsoft has no plans of selling an HDMI out cable for the existing XBOX 360 and will instead come out with an upgraded XBOX 360 with built-in HDMI port. Upgrade time again?

Sir, i think the problem with sammy is that their PC input is not HD PC-15 wherein the vga connector displays high definition content unlike the bravia LCD.  hmmm, if what you said is true, then i would have to reconsider my purchase of their 52inches bravia 1080p instead get the Mosel F series.  What do you think?

Look for the pricing guide thread elsewhere.  SM Appliance is never mura.  Samsung can be had for probably 50k cash...
