;D Oh yes. I remember most of them. But the biggest recall for me is Superwheel's take on Anthony & Cleopatra with Elizabeth Ramsey as Cleo. Really downright funny, especially when she exclaimed: "Magapatuka na lang ako sa ahas!". Hope it wins.

Also liked McDo's Si Karen Po and Alice Dixson's I can Feel It.

Bakit walang San Miguel Beer commercial featuring the APO (Jimmy, Danny & Buboy) 'di ba magaganda ang mga commercials nila. Sayang din yung SMB ad ni FPJ about Pinoy values.

Watched the show last night.  It was great. :D  I think they're showing Part 1 tonight (Sunday) at 9:30 at ABS-CBN.  Part 2 next Sunday at the same time.

NOT TO BE MISSED ADS:
Shell "Zoom Zoom" and  Camay "Ang Barko...President Roosevelt"TV ads.  Is REALLY REALLY funny.  Both ads are circa '60s.  You would notice that both have a serious theme but comes out REALLY HILLARIOUS watching it today.  CHECK IT OUT! ;D

They were funny. But I don't think they intended it to be funny. :D

I like Sarsi a lot!

I don't think so too.  The "Zoom Zoom" ad may even be intended to come out sexy at that time.  Something like Shell's "Get into my car" with Leah Orosa in the late 80s-early 90s.  But look how funny "Zoom Zoom" turned out now. ;D

I like Sarsi a lot!

Same here.  I was just wondering why Pop Cola's "Bilib sila sa Pinoy" were not even in the top 40.  This ad has the same texture and look as Sarsi's but its concept deals with the uniqueness of being Filipino.  Jingle was also by Ryan Cayabyab.  I just think it deserves a mention too. :)

I think it's because the Sarsi "Angat Sa Iba" and Pop Cola's  "Bilib Sila sa Pinoy" were part of just one major (nationalistic) campaign by Cosmos and Basic/FCB (the ad agency) in the late 80s. The organizers probably decided to choose just one of the two.

But Jollibee's "Ligaw" and "Lola" came from the same series of ad campaign about Filipino values and both landed on the top 25.

I like the Sarsi "Angat sa Iba" campaign but you have to admit that it looks rather cheezy when you watch it now.  Their later campaign, "diet, regular" featuring Richard and Dawn was also good.

San  Miguel has a l lot of good ones. Do you remember the commercial with FPJ on horseback? What about the one where he befriends a deer?

Oh yeah!  That "Regular, Diet" is better that that BENCH rowing ad, IMHO.

San  Miguel has a l lot of good ones. Do you remember the commercial with FPJ on horseback? What about the one where he befriends a deer?

I remember those too.  But my faves are those of with the APO.  One has a jingle that goes: "Dito kami nagsimula, nagkasungay, nagbinata.  Kay Lalim ng pagka-kaibigan, di pwedeng pantayan".  I also like the "Bilmoko" and "Si Nena, Anak ni Mang Teban" and a Christmas ad "Tuloy ang Noche Buena, Tuloy ang Pasko" with Bert Tawa .  Oh, and I like the Dawn's "Salamat" ad and RJ's jingle where the ads showing different night spots serving SMB.  One time at the supermarket, there was a TV atop the SMB racks showing the classic SMB ads.  I probably stayed there for almost an hour just watching while wifey is shopping. ;D

my fave was the Philippine Airlines... shining through...  :) the sceneries were sooo warm!

I also like the way PAL ads touches me.  There was a long ad cum featrure used to be show in PTV4 with Agot Isidro singing and showing the beauty of the Phils. from north to south.  There another like this but instead of the tourists attractions, it showed the golf courses from north to south highlighting the Puerto Azul's courses.  Its slant was to push the country as a golfing haven.  These infomercials make me proud! :)

Hehe! This is a fun thread to read! Sarap mag-reminisce ng commercials! :D

Funny yung Camay (Ang Barko...President Roosevelt). All I heard was the word KREMA!!! I think there is one "krema" mentioned in every sentence! Hehe!

I also like PAL for the same reason you guys mentioned.

When I saw the ad Knorr Chinese Soup, it all came back to me...

* hashpipe clears throat...

Here's some chinese soup for you
Some chinese soup?

But there is nothing like
Knorr real (pronounced as re-al) chinese soup
Knorr is one of a kind
Best chinese soup of the kind
Knorr is easy to cook
Just add one egg... "bom" "twisshh"

Knorr is chunky and rich (not sure of the lyrics here)
Knorr real chinese soup

There is nothing like...
Knorr real chinese soup...

Good-ah!!!
 ;D

Is this thread focusing only on local ads? Try checking out the site www.commercialcloset.org.  It is a cool web site with a really nice collection of edgy, funny, offensive and artsy international ads from big and small companies. Check it out if you have the time. The Hyundai and Guiness ads were the best !

Knorr is chunky and rich (not sure of the lyrics here)
Knorr real chinese soup

hehehehe

It should read: Thick and chunky and rich

Trivia:  It's a Jo Marie Chan compostion and sung by Louie Ocampo and Richard Tan. ;D

This jingle (along with many others) is available in CDs & cassettes in an album called "Stricly Commercial". :)

Just found out today that PILAK -- aside from representing 4A's 25th year -- means PILipino Advertising Klasiks.  Never realized that before. ;D

What about the Magnolia Flavor of the Month commercials? They had a new one very month and all were entertaining.

Let us not forget too the other klasiks like the  Family toothpaste commercial featuring an American(?) family,  Family rubbing alcohol with Carlos Padilla and the Dragon katol commercial.

Not exactly "klasik" but very memorable ones.

1.  How many of you guys actually tried to look for bubbles gobbling stains when your mum or labandera were washing clothes using Mr. Clean?

2.  Si Pitong.."e di... ibalik ang swirti."

3.  I'm very hapi.  Hapi indeed (what commercial was that?)

4.  Get a free blah blah blah for every PAH-CHASE of blah blah blah at 680 dept store.
