I could have opted for Johnny Air but I just wanted to give this a shot. I usually ship all my orders to my friend then have it shipped via Johnny Air (air or ocean).

Good new guys! My order from Amazon just arrived today and DHL promptly delivered it to my doorstep, no extra charges whatsoever!

While I can't definitively say this is how it's going to be like for everyone, it's reassuring to know that shipping to the Philippines directly IS an option.

i thought they dont ship electronic items to the philippines

It depends on the item. Some they do, some they don't. All one has to do is add it to the cart and try checking out with the Philippine address selected.

I'm so new here, as in kaka-register ko lang. May itatanong lang ako: Sino po pwede sa inyo na magpapasabay ako or magpapabili ako sa inyo ng DVD? Magbabayad na lang po ako sa inyo tapos meet-up. Hindi po ako scammer, sana kayo din

bought my game of thrones season 1 bluray over amazon thru post office.. sinabihan lng ako na next time may tax na pag lagpas 60$.. i think around 61$ un order ko.. also bought some other bds kasi along with it.. i just paid the regular 40p at post office..

Has anyone tried the "amazon global priority" shipping method? It's fully trackable, and amazon charges you the "customs duties" before hand. if actual duties are lower, they give a refund. if higher, you won't need to pay extra. in other words, amazon takes care of haggling with the local customs office. any experiences?

not sure about using smart money.. i use my credit card to buy at amazon.. i choose standard international shipping and it usually ships to my local post office in manila. you only have to pay 40Php for stuff <60$. not sure how much for >60$..
recently i have encountered a problem with amazon.. despite selecting standard shipping, amazon chose to ship my order through DHL express and was charging me about 550Php. i asked amazon about this and i just realized that there is no feature in amazon to determine what method amazon choose to ship an order.. i got a reimbursement from amazon since i did not wish to pay this added cost.. they were kind enough to explain to me the details and since i didn't know about this, they decided to reimburse the charges from DHL express

Is that an isolated case (DHL Express)? I mean, I'm afraid they'll ship my orders through DHL and charge me fees.

from the several times i've ordered from them using standard shipping, this is the first time they use DHL express to ship my order. according to their sales rep, there is no feature from amazon for us to choose how amazon will ship our order.. so i guess i just got lucky before from the numerous times i've ordered from them. btw, on another note, i received my shipment from DHL in perfect good condition still sealed in the box.. i notice that at the post office, all my boxes have been opened and resealed before they hand it over to you.. to check the contents siguro, otherwise my orders are in perfect condition. if this is a big deal for you, you would wish they ship by DHL..with extra charges lng nga..

I use Smartmoney almost in all of my Amazon purchases.. Amazon UK charges you within 5~10 minutes after you click "proceed".. Amazon US and Canada about 20~30 minutes, sometimes longer. You had to unlocked the internet transaction after 30 minutes had passed coz it automatically locks after 30 minutes..

For Amazon US, I had my later purchases delivered to my niece's NJ address after it got "lost in the mail" for direct Ph delivery (I got a refund from Amazon). She then send it to me after consolidation tru JAC. For Amazon Canada, I had it delivered to my college buddy's address in Toronto and he then send it to me tru various means. For Amazon UK, I only started last Nov. and had it shipped directly to my Ph address. So far, I had all the praises for Amazon UK. 17 days from dispatched to door...

I see. Lucky you can consolidate your orders. I've heard JAC doesn't consolidate so ordering too many items seems inappropriate. Well, I'm not planning to buy that much.
