From my experience ordering from Amazon it was many years ago that it would have to pass through our post office system instead of shipping directly to your home.

my last two shipments are handled by J&T. TRacking status stated they underwent Customs Clearance in destination country. Not sure if the Post Office per se had a role in it.


Ang weird lang ng books sa Amazon, many of them may shipping fee kahit lagpas pa ng 49$.

I did a deep dive on the cost of Kewpie Japanese-style mayonnaise and Twix and found some deals available on both Shopee & Lazada.

I compared the price of 1kg Kewpie mayo to those of local brands selling real mayonnaise and salad dressing.

Also found a 25pc box of 50g Twix going for less than 800. This is cheaper than the 55/pc price tag on SM's online store.

Anyone else with bad experience shipping liquid products from Amazon? I ordered a coffee machine descaler 2 months ago and the bottle appeared to have leaked. Bottle was less than 1/2 full and the packaging was very damp. I reported the issue and they replaced it right away. But pagdating nung replacement, same thing, bottle was more or less 1/2 full and the packaging again wet. I reported it again and they just gave me a refund. The bottle kasi was in its standard prduct box and shipped in an Amazon packing sleeve so most likely nadadaganan.

This week naman, I ordered a car cleaning product. This came in a more robust bottle but without any packaging from the manufacturer. Again, it was crammed in an Amazon shipping sleeve. This time the bottle was almost empty because the bottle developed a crack. The Amazon sleeve was obviously damaged from the outside and was still soaking. The rider from Ninja Van said ganun na daw when they got it and report ko na lang daw sa Amazon. I reported it and they just gave me a refund.I told the customer service rep on chat they should improve packaging for internatiional shipping of liquid products.

may not be a good idea to order liquid/bottled items if this is the experience, likely shipped by air, baka nagli-leak dahil sa pressurization ... same experience nung first time ako mag-air travel, kahit new at sealed nagli-leak sa luggage kaya eversince kahit bago linalagyan ko ng mga packing tape yung mga takip to prevent leakage

Does anyone know how Amazon computes for estimated custom duties?

I have on my cart three items which cost 249 dollars each. ang cost incuding estimated custom duties ay nasa 1200$

pero same items pag sinamahan ko ng ibang items na ang total ay nasa 120$, bumababa ang total to 1080$ (including the 120$ na dinagdag ko).

Or customs/amazon have a way of tracking this to know that you are avoiding duty taxes?

I do that as well. Legal yan. walang issue yan kahit sabay-sabay pa inspect yan sa customs.

I hate Aramex na gamit ng ibang sellers sa Amazon. One of my parcel got stuck sa Parañaque for two weeks. Kung di ko pa sila minessage (for 6 days) sa Twitter, di uusad ang delivery.

Let me share a story regarding Aramex. I have been ordering from Amazon eversince they had started shipping to Pinas.  From my experience, it was always DHL.  But last year, I ordered knives worth around 6K Pesoses. The local shipper was aramex. To make the story short the items was delayed for 2-3 days I think. So I complained this to Amazon. Amazon said the items was already lost base on their info/logs.  It was a bummer and they immediately refunded the items.
But lo and behold after 2 days the items arrived!

So that is the story how I got free good kitchen knives.

Tried it and couldn't apply the code as well. I reread the promo T&Cs and saw that the minimum purchase needed was $100. Items in my cart were less than $100
