From experience.  All my orders of November and Deccember either make it before the New Year or First week of January.  It's an advantage naman since hindi ka magpapakita ng Christmas season sa Post office.  Iwas hingi narin sa mga post office/customs personel. :)
No delay for me yet though the latest purchase ive had was shipped last 29th of November...received the items just now....8-9 days...maaga rin yun sobre nung regular postman namin hehehehe.....  ;D ;D

My latest order was shipped on Nov. 27 and I also haven't received it also. Probably the location of Amazon that made the shipment has something to do with it. Most of the packages that I received within two weeks came from their Kentucky office. The one that took 3 weeks came from Nevada.

Suwertehan siguro, my order from November 26, was received December 7th.

And another one placed November 27th was received yesterday but was postmarked (Philpost) on December 7th too, so December 7, nasa 'Pinas na... so it took another 3 working days before Philpost delivered it.  This is from Amazon Nevada.

Suwertehan talaga... I had packages that arrived a month or so after order.  But my last ones are fast... the law of averages, perhaps...

My latest order is still to be filled and it's been 3 days, 'in stock' naman ang product...

Since Amazon.Com always overestimates their Estimated Delivery Date, I'd normally say inform them the day after, but then again, it is Christmas season. It's really hard to predict when you'll get your packages this time of year.

For the record though, my last Amazon.Com order for the year shipped out on November 25, then arrived yesterday. Not bad, considering.

I'm now going to abstain from purchases until January 1st, due to anticipated heavy postal traffic. Just online purchases, of course...  ;D

Hi, I just wanted to share some good news. I placed my first order from Amazon on Dec.3 and I received my package (a boxed set consisting of 3 dvds) today! It was delivered by our mailman and I charged only P35 by our PO. The estimated delivery time was Jan.20 something so it was such a pleasant surprise :)

Something's fishy here.  Royal Logistics paid local postage to have it delivered.  I don't think the P35 is warranted if it was delivered...Wouldn't that be double postage?

Although I am not knowledgeable about the Philpost charter, I don't think such a charge is warranted if you don't have to pick it up, then storage fees might apply, but that might not even be the case.

P35 is not much, given the price of the package...but I think that goes to the pocket, not Philpost.

I'm now going to abstain from purchases until January 1st, due to anticipated heavy postal traffic. Just online purchases, of course... ;D

No Narnia EE, no Walt Disney Treasures, No Talladega Nights, No Little Miss Sunshines...until the new year?

Chempo chempo talaga pag dating sa tax, and also depende rin sa post office.  Dito sa Angeles City medyo maluwag sila, coz there are several times ive ordered more than 50 dollars...and doorstep pa rin ang delivery with no tax  :)
hi! first time ko dito sa forum, first time ko rin nag-order sa amazon kaya heto 4 na dvd title ang una kong na-iorder, umabot ng $60+ ang total, kung ganon meron ba akong babayaran na custom tax? i'm from angeles city too, according to munskie he ordered $50+ at doorstep delivered pa with no tax.
date of shipment - dec 8,2006, estimate delivery- jan 18 - feb 2,2007. sana mas maaga dumating yung packages.

the way i see it, angeles city PO determines the package if it would be picked up (with notice to pick up) or doorstep delivered is by bulk...not by price.  Twice ive ordered a DVD giftset (ultimate matrix and harry potter 1 giftset), and both times, they had me picked it up, paid only P35.  Many times ive ordered over the $50 limit, doorstep delivery na....and no taxes pa rin.  Medyo maluwag dito kabalen.... ;D

dacal salamat kabalen sa paliwanag mo, the way you experienced it several times na walang custom tax here in angeles i hope na ganon rin sana ang mangyari sa akin and i also hope the packages will deliver much earlier than their estimate delivery.

I hope it is not lost, but it's over two months (Amazon's conservative estimate) and all signs points to it being lost...  All my packages arrives within a month from SHIP DATE.   My latest arrived today, two weeks from when it was shipped...

Kailan ba ito na-ship?

it was shipped last nov 15, so basically they gave it a 1 month estimate. btw, shipping address is in singapore. i'm impressed with how fast my orders from hk or korea arrive here in less than 1 week, 3 days was the fastest. so i'm surprised my amazon order was late here, when my orders shipped to the philippines always arrive at most 2 weeks.

another thing, i had an order shipped to the philippines last nov20, and as expected it arrived 2 weeks later. life...full of surprises  :D

Baka naman it was one of those titles that Singapore banned...  just joking.

Here's hoping that it will arrive in time.  Especially since Singapore unlike the Philippine is known for efficient and honest service.... not that I am implying that the local Post Office is not, kasi I'm sure most of the local postal employees are (honest)...

Hi Guys,

I'm not sure if this is the right forum but since my concern is related to an order from Amazon, I thought I'd post it here (my apologies to the mods).

Anyway, I ordered some audio discs from amazon and have addressed the package to my home address along Katipunan near Ateneo. A few days ago, I received a postal claim note but I'm not sure which branch of the Post Office I should go to as there is no indication which branch I should drop by. Anyway, my sister told me it could be the Cubao branch. Would this be the case? And if so, does anybody have an idea where the Post Office branch in Cubao is? I'd appreciate any information on this and thanks in advance.

Ateneo is in Quezon City.  So Cubao nga most likely.  The PO is in Araneta Coliseum on the Farmer's Market side.

It could also be the QC Main Post Office along NIA Road near East Avenue. I live in Loyola Heights and all my recent Amazon orders land in this PO (before I got them from the Cubao PO).

As for the Cubao PO, it's now along Aurora Blvd, in between the Aurora-Anonas Ext. and Aurora-20th intersections. It used to be at the Araneta Coliseum, then it moved to a placed between the old COD (now Puregold) and the Shoe Expo. When a fire broke out at that place, they transferred to Aurora Blvd.

Just double-check your claim note, the actual PO should be stamped on it.

Hhhmmm....that's pretty difficult to tell.  Di pa ba expired?  How's your credit limit?

A bit expensive but why don't you try muna your card locally.  Kahit mga Php100 worth of purchases or a bit more so that you'll know if it's working or not.

I have 2 packages that are both shipped this morning, 7:30AM & 8:30AM Phil Time (Dec 17 3:30PM & 4:30PM US). Let's see if this will still make it before New Year here in Pinas... asa pa ako... ;)

If I only knew that there'll be delay in shipment on my first order that was placed last Thursday night, I should have combined it na lang sana with my second one (which is a pre-order)... Sabay lang din pala ang shipment, 1 hour lang difference.
