Hhhmmm....that's pretty difficult to tell.  Di pa ba expired?  How's your credit limit?

A bit expensive but why don't you try muna your card locally.  Kahit mga Php100 worth of purchases or a bit more so that you'll know if it's working or not.
thanks for responding  my friend, ok na ang credit card ko na-shipped na nila yung order ko dec 17, nakakahiyang sabihin pero ang pagkakamali yung pagkakapost ko ng expiration date, oh my goodness....

It could also be the QC Main Post Office along NIA Road near East Avenue. I live in Loyola Heights and all my recent Amazon orders land in this PO (before I got them from the Cubao PO).

As for the Cubao PO, it's now along Aurora Blvd, in between the Aurora-Anonas Ext. and Aurora-20th intersections. It used to be at the Araneta Coliseum, then it moved to a placed between the old COD (now Puregold) and the Shoe Expo. When a fire broke out at that place, they transferred to Aurora Blvd.

On the Cubao PO: Ever since the fire, they no longer handle Amazon packages, which have been rerouted to QCPO along NIA Road. I asked NIA road PO about this, and they said the packages will go back to being shipped to Cubao when the government releases more budget for further improvements.

So probably... never?  ;D

hi! first time ko dito sa forum, first time ko rin nag-order sa amazon kaya heto 4 na dvd title ang una kong na-iorder, umabot ng $60+ ang total, kung ganon meron ba akong babayaran na custom tax? i'm from angeles city too, according to munskie he ordered $50+ at doorstep delivered pa with no tax.
date of shipment - dec 8,2006, estimate delivery- jan 18 - feb 2,2007. sana mas maaga dumating yung packages.
my mother received this 2 packages this afternoon at sa house delivered pa dito sa angeles city at walang ngang tax, bakit naman ganon? sobra naman maaga, after dec 25 raw ang delivery pagkatapos hindi pa man umabot ng pasko naideliver na, magic! magic talaga! sa packages meron sticker Royale Logistics Phils., Inc.

Bakit, may angal?  ;D

Anywhere from 1-3 weeks nga dumarating, kahit ano pa ang isinulat nila sa "Estimate" nila. Pero suwerte ka, dahil malapit na ang pasko, mabilis pa rin.

Merry Christmas, sechiong!  ;D

Hey Guys! Merry Christmas!

I have to admit that Amazon (US) is really one of the best online shopping, with fast delivery process and a great customer service.

I ordered 2 separate orders during the last week of November and both of them arrived almost 2 weeks later. I had them mailed to 2 separate addresses to see how fast and what experiences this would be for me. If you ordered $50 or less and have it shipped to Ortigas area, Royal Logistics would deliver it personally while the other I had it shipped to my place in QC near Ateneo. A postal notice arrived 2 days after my first package was delivered and I had to pick it up from the QC post office along NIA Road near East Ave. No taxes were asked as long as the package is worth $50 or less (inclusive of S&H).

Cheers!

"Best Value Savings" are usually applied when you order two related items that Amazon wants to sell together as a special promo.

I've only availed of such an offer once, when I purchased DVDs of "Valley of the Dolls" and "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" together. I also got that "Best Value Savings: -$5.00" notice on my order summary.

You should report your case Pchin. PO should not tax receiver for local post transactions.

Choose one of the following:

1. Order them in $50 (shipping included) installments

2. Ship them to a relative in the States who's coming home and make them "pakidala"

3. Ship them to a relative in the States, have them open all the discs, repackage them in a different (non-Amazon) box, then have said relative remail the box with a customs declaration of "Used Videos - Value $40." The local post office may STILL choose to overlook this fake customs declaration, though.

4. Order them via Johnny Air Cargo, although the shipping of such a big order may prove to be rather expensive, as well.

5. Order them normally and have them shipped to an obscure provincial address, one where the post office people can hardly speak any English and where they rarely deal with packages from the States.

6. Order them normally and pay for their taxes

7. Order them normally and bribe the post office's customs officer

8. Order them normally and then cry like a 5 year old little girl when the customs officer adds up your total dues

a provincial address is very useful. people know each other and won't care to tax you  8)

To all: What's the highest value you had ordered that had not been taxed?

To all: What's the lowest value you had ordered that had been taxed?  Tax, as in, custom levies, not the P35 storage fee/kupit.

My order of $53 was not taxed.  Don't know, kung swerte lang or not...  Another for around $52 is currently in limbo, feared lost (I say this because a subsequent order that was shipped a week later had arrived), although still within the estimated ship date, so still keeping my fingers crossed.

$67.95 - provincial address. tax is not my first concern here but a possibility of lost package, but none so far, and all orders arrive 2 weeks after or even less.

if i'll include my koreandvd orders before shipped thru EMS, i pay P1500 for $300 above orders. it helps when you know someone in the PO  ;)

To all: What's the lowest value you had ordered that had been taxed?  Tax, as in, custom levies, not the P35 storage fee/kupit.

can't remember the exact price since it was 2 years ago already. its more or less $45, picked up at MCPO and paid P500 (availed the pay-without-receipt 50% discount  ;D)

I have 2 packages that are both shipped this morning, 7:30AM & 8:30AM Phil Time (Dec 17 3:30PM & 4:30PM US). Let's see if this will still make it before New Year here in Pinas... asa pa ako... ;)

Just received this two packages (shipped by Amazon on Dec. 18) this morning. I asked the messenger of Royale why there seems to be a slight delay and he said that they only received them only yesterday. I'm still glad it's not "lost" in transit during the holidays.  :D

Sana ganoon din mangyari sa package ko.  I had two package shipped Dec.13 and 15 which haven't arrived.  I am a bit anxious because my subsequent order from Dec 20 and 26 had arrived last week.  Since I am off Royal Logistic delivery route, it usually takes three-five more days before the local postman deliver my packages. This year, I am going to follow Mr. Hankey and refrain from joining the Christmas Rush...

Same here, QC address, from Amazon.Com.

However, my December 22 order from Amazon UK to an Ortigas address has not yet arrived. Odd, since Amazon UK is the one that normally takes me about 7 days, on average.

This year, I am going to follow Mr. Hankey and refrain from joining the Christmas Rush...

Good advice... if only I had followed it myself.  ;D

You should think twice since the best deals and the lowest prices are always during Christmas. Better to wait and save a dollar or two than to purchase the DVD at 10% more than the usual.

first time to order on Amazon.com. ordered 2 titles of HD DVD last Dec.28 and i pick up the item today at the post office in San Juan M.M.

P35  lang a ng binayaran ko pero mukhang mahigpit dito kasi sabi sa akin swerte ko raw at hindi umabot ng US$50 kasi mas mataas daw ang babayaran ko pag $50 na. for $50 and up, they charge 10% of the total amount declared.

and hindi ko natanaong eh kung hanggang anong amount applicable yung 10%. will ask this on my next pick up :)
