hello just have a question, I have an order that says it will arrive on feb 6, I talked to royale and it havent arrived yet. Weird thing is my other order shipped the same day, I already got it...My question is how long do you guys wait as buffer before emailing amazon telling them the package has not arrived. So I guess if things like this happen I have to pay first and they will reverse later? Will they make another shipment? Thanks

Wait till the estimated date of delivery expires & then inform amazon that your order hasn't arrived yet. As soon as your amazon order is shipped, it will already be credited on your credit card. Amazon will send you a replacement or you can ask for a refund.

Thanks Aeris...  May harry potter pala sa amazon uk?  Gano katagal yun??  how much ang price?  Mas mahal ba???  Hehehe..  Gusto ko ng harry potter...

Medyo mahal compared to ordering at amazon US...I had it shipped to a US address para siguradong dumating...di kasi dumadaan sa Royale shipments from amazon UK

BTW my order shipped last Jan. 28 (with estimated date of delivery on March 7, 2007) was delivered this morning by Royale Logistics in my Ortigas Center address. (above $50 no tax)

Probably your other order was shipped from a different location. Based from my experience, packages that were shipped from Amazon's Kentucky and Nevada offices usually took the fastest time (less than 2 weeks) to reach the Philippines. I had one from their Delaware office that took more than 3 weeks before Royale received it.

Anyway, my recent order that was shipped Jan. 26 was delivered by Royale this morning.  :D

I ordered a DVD before December 25/06. Estimated delivery dates were Jan 10-25/07. I have already checked with the QC PO when I got my Yesasia order but they don't have it on their list. Guys, what should I do? Thanks in advance.

When did you order?  December 25?  Or much earlier?  My order from December 19, 2006 has an estimated delivery date of January 30-February 15, 2007.   (BTW, I already got it :) )

If it's much earlier, and it is past the estimated delivery date, then use Amazon support pages to let them know of it.  If Amazon deem the package lost, they would send another package.  If it's on December 25, then you should probably wait another week or two.

Sometimes package get misplaced by PO.  My order from December 10, arrived in the middle of January but have a December postmark... go figure.  I was just waiting for the estimated ship date to lapse...then to my delight, the package arrived...a month late, and in it was a fireplace DVD with Christmas tunes in the background.  Oh well...

Don't know why but Amazon US estimated delivery date are a month or so, but Amazon UK is just little over a week...

My order shipped Jan. 18 (estimated Feb. 5-20) still has not arrived though my previous order shipped on the same day also arrived w/in 10 days.. My experience was that if my order of 3 or 4 dvds was split into 2 shipments w/ 2 or in one shipment and a single item in another shipment the single item shipment always arrived last. Is it because the package for a single dvd is smaller than a package for 3 or more dvds and thus tend to get lost? At any rate my last order were 2 dvds but amazon still shipped it separately so I suppose it will arrive weeks later..

My order (The Departed 2-Disc) was shipped February 10 and I received it today.

OT. Has anyone here knows if Royale Logistics also handles shipments from DVDEmpire?

You had to get it from Makati PO? I thought Royal Logistics delivers doorstep if delivery address is Makati or Ortigas?

Is it just my orders?  The delivery from Amazon seems to have taken longer than usual for orders this January/February.  My order from 26 January is still pending... while a couple from early February still hasn't arrived.  They are all still within the estimated shipping date though... patience, patience... :)

It's not just you.

I'm not sure if it's a post office problem or an Amazon problem. My February 20 order from Amazon hasn't arrived, but my February 27 order from Amazon-UK arrived last Wednesday already.

but my February 27 order from Amazon-UK arrived last Wednesday already.

My Amazon UK deliveries almost always take just a little over a week to come...via air mail.  Much faster than Royal Logistics.  In fact, I have taken a liking to R2 discs kasi many titles that Amazon US sells for a premium can be had for a song on R2 (eg. Dances with wolves - $18 2-discs US, 7 pounds 3 discs UK; Happy Times [Zhang Yimou] $21 US, 6 pounds UK), hindi ko naman napapansin ang slightly faster PAL runtime...

A bit apprehensive about my Amazon US order for January/February because they include a few Criterions... while I could always file a complaint if it don't arrive, I have going that route...  so given that RadicalDude February 10 orders arrived just the other day, guess there's still hope.

SO far my order shipped Feb 24 has not arrived. The longest I have had to wait has been exactly 3 weeks so I should get it by Friday at the latest.

The latest that I received from Royale was last March 1 for Final Fantasy VII Limited Ed and this was shipped by Amazon on Feb. 16.

However, the other, which is The Prestige, was shipped by Feb. 19 and until now it hasn't been delivered yet... ???

Yeah, I was telling my cousin the same thing the other day. Although the initial list price of R2 titles at Amazon-UK is more expensive than their R1 counterparts, by the time the titles go on sale, they're really dirt cheap.

I did notice a change in their replacement policy, though. The last time I complained about a missing shipment 3 days after the due date, instead of apologizing and sending a replacement immediately, they asked me to please wait an extra week then email them again if it still hadn't turned up, so they could also try to locate it for me and send a replacement if they couldn't.

The shipment actually did arrive 3 days later, so no harm, no foul.

I even sent them "thank you" feedback about that incident, after.  :)

my order of November 19 shipped November 20 havent arrived yet  :-\  just called Royale Logistics, di pa kasama sa mga dumating yesterday  :(

emailed amazon a month ago (a week after the estimated arrival date), that the package havent arrived yet. They emailed back, stating they will send a replacement package. got the replacement package after 20 days, unfortunately, via the Makati City Post Office.

Even though my package was less than US$50, got taxed for the 3 dvds at P1,057.00  >:(  haaayyyy......... next time..... will order na lang from the guys at the marketplace :)  well, at least i now know how they do the computation for the customs duty fee (i photocopied the computation sheet :))

first time i ordered from amazon - got the full depressing experience - the lost package and a rather large tax. oh well...... lesson learned.  :P

Dont get depressed keilu, thats why on the other thread im trying to get all the feedbacks I can regarding the customs fees and duties. I will confirm with royale to see if this is so. Royale already told me there should be no custom duties if the package is from them. Lets not give in to these post office kalokohan and fight for our right on one of our greatest hobby "buying and collecting dvds"

One way to hide the prices on packing slips for items from Amazon.com is to send the items as a gift.  The items will be shipped without any price information printed anywhere.  So customs will not be able to know how much the item/s is/are worth.

Unless they've changed their policy very recently, that doesn't work for international orders. Domestic (US) orders have no price printed, but international orders still print the price even if you indicate it's a "gift."

I've tried several times using "gift" to get away from local customs for more expensive orders, and it has always failed.  ;D

actually, my order arrived with no price since its a replacement shipment - and they computed my customs fee at $20 per dvd! i had to write a letter, attach my amazon order slip and the credit card billing with my credit card number blocked except for the last 5 digits, and asked for a recomputation (my order is only at $42.39 including shipping) and my customs fee went down by around 300 bucks  :-\

Ayyy naku I went to the post office wala parin ang item ko shipped Feb 23 from the US. Ang hirap pala maghanap doon since they only have this handwritten logbook for parcels. Ang hirap pang basahin yung handwriting nung nagsulat.

Oh well I just sent Amazon a notice that I did not get my item yet. I also asked them to please send it via Royale instead of Philpost.

Sent an e-mail to Amazon asking them to send my future shipments via Royale instead of Philpost. Their reply was:

Please let me apologize for any inconvenience you may have
experienced as a result of this particular order.

We use a variety of carriers which we have found provide the best
service for our different shipping options. At this time, it is not
possible to request a specific carrier for your order.

So based on this response by amazon I assume we cannot do anything regarding our preference to have royale logistics to be our specific carrier. Delays and custom taxes might be unavoidable IMO

I guess the only way we can do is to write directly to Amazon headquarter in the US. I have no idea in which state in the US Amazon is based.

I believe all the mail we send via the Amazon.com website is sent to their callcenter in India so they really cannot do anything.

If you look at the list of available couriers Amazon is using Royale Logistics is not included. Amazon is using DHL Globalmail when we choose standard or expedited international shipping to the Phils. From DHL it goes to Royale Logistics. Then Royale delivers the package directly if the address is in Ortigas center, certain parts of Pasig & Ayala center in Makati. All other addresses, Royale sends it thru Philpost. As was the case when I was using my home address here in Q.C., I used to pick-up my packages from the NIA office of philpost sent by Royale via speedmail from the Philpost's Pasay branch.

Well the address I use is my office address which is in the Makati CDB. Prior to this they had a perfect record of 3 orders coming in via Royale direct to the office.

Just received this morning, as delivered by Royale, my recent order that was shipped by Amazon last March 10...  :D

Now I'm a bit worried of my other package that was shipped last Feb. 19 and until now, I still don't have it.  :'(

Just spoke with Royale's delivery staff about this and he said that there's probably something wrong with Amazon with regards to my other order. Anyway, he said that they'll be receiving shipments again tonight and offered that he'll give me a call tomorrow once there's one for me.

I salute them for this extra service...
