Actually Audio engine lang ang alam kong magandang computer and powered speakers, try mo din yung A2 ok lang din naman yung kung sa computer mo lang gagamitin. o kaya tiis muna and ipon ng konti tapos A5.

i'm using JBL On Air Control 2.4G wireless speaker as my laptop speaker, with built-in amp na. simply plug it into your pc and voila your ready to rock n roll. for near field listening (1m away from the speaker toe in) sound quality is very good especially for vocals, acoustics and the likes mararamdaman mo singer parang humihinga lang sa harap mo. heavy bass and R&B is medyo bitin. a subwoofer can be incorporated to handle the bass as long as it has a built-in cross-over but i haven't tried it yet.

http://www.amazon.com/JBL-Control-2-4G-Wireless-Speaker/dp/B000O7MR5A

you may consider it, i got it for less than 200$ so pasok sa budget mo.

sir bassman ano po ba masasabi nio regarding sa sound quality nung A2? may nagrecommend po sakin na bumili na lang ng wharfedales (5-6k) tapos amp (around 3k).. SQ lang po talaga habol ko. kahit di malakas. basta maganda tunog. saka im looking to add a sub someday din. thanks po.

If the budget would fit, the KingRex T20U or the Dared MP5 can act as both a DAC and an Amp. Speakers na lang kulang. :)

Malaki kasi difference ng outboard audio processing kesa sa onboard ng PC (unless high end na ang sound board mo) dahil sa EMI from other components inside.

Brod malayo ang A2 sa wharfs, pang computer lang talaga A2. if you can stretch further your budget go for wharfs.

Looks like you got yourself a good pair. What did you buy?  ;)

I think sa P3k, makakabili ka pa ng t-amp. Bring your speaks when you audiyion. Or ipon mode then get what you want.

Congrats.

Congrats Paolorafael.  :)

Pwede yung sabi ni Master Nelson na maliliit na T-Amp, tignan mo muna kung sufficient sayo yung output niya. If not, save some more for a stronger amp na lang.

O kaya look around for used amps, minsan kasi may binebenta ng mura.

Try mo mga preowned. Baka pumayag sila ng home audition. Or ask our friendly & suking dealers. baka naman may similar speakers sila sa gamit mo.

HTH.

When you really don't have a choice, i guess that would do. May Onkyo na HTIB din ata na maganda. Just make sure that mga digital and analog connections mo, kayang i-support ng receiver.

bakit mas madaming wharfedale user? dahil ba mura? madami din ako nababasa na masyado daw bright ang polk?

10.5 = 3way =15k
tsi300 = 2way = 17k

Ano pa ba ibang brand ang hindi nalalayo sa price ng polk tsi and diamonds?

Good evening mga sir,

Newbie po on the forum and to audio in general.
meron po ba ditong may experience with the Wharfedale WH210 subwoofer? - lumang sub po sya mula sa WH2 series.
Is it so much worse than the Wharf Diamond series subs?
Rest of the system are Wharfedale Diamond 10.2s for the front L/R, 10.0s for surrounds, 10.CS for the center and a Denon 1611 receiver.

Usage is 50-TV/30-Music/20-Movies
Music is a mixed bag - just normal rock ballads, etc., so not a stickler for bass.
Sources are blu-ray/Wii/cable/computer/lumang iPod (jologs compression rates)

Room is a 12 X 14 space.
Any information regarding said sub would be much appreciated. :)

Hi HT gurus... newbie lang po. hingi po sana ng advice niyo. Super noob talaga ako pagdating sa HT setup. Plano ko kasi kumuha ng pioneer a/v receiver (VSX-520-k or yung 820-k). Ang problem ko is hindi ko alam kung anong brand of speakers ang i-hohook up ko sa receiver nato. May nakita ako sa abenson and sm appliances na pioneer and jamo speakers lang. Ok na ba ang pioneer speakers? eto yung exact model:
S-RS77TB 15k pala ang SRP niya.

http://www.pioneer-mea.com/en/TODOROKI/spec/index.html

Baka po may masusuggest kayo ibang brand na speakers na perfect fit for a pioneer amp.

Budget for receiver: around 15-20k
Budget for speakers: around 15-20k
Purpose: 60% listening music/concert, 40% watching movies/playing ps3

thanks in advance.  :)

Most AV/Rs naman are very capable to drive most commercially available speakers descently. However, just to be sure, checks the impedance (ohms) ng AV/R per speaker. Kung bokkshelf ang kukunin mong speakers, kayang kaya na ng pioneer yan. Best siguro, kung for HT, unahin mo na ang AV/R. Then audition different brands and models of speakers that would suit your preference. Bring your AV/R when you audition your speakers para alam mo kung bagay siya  :D Within your budget, papasok siguro ang Wharf, A-Audio a few preowned sa marketplace natin.

Happy hunting!

I'm thinking of retooling my HT gear.  First up are the speakers.  I currently have a hybrid 5.1 set-up:

B&W 602S3 fronts, Wharfedale center and rear dipoles, SVS sub.  Sounds OK but I wish to raise the SQ level a couple of notches up without using very bulky speakers.  I think I'll retain the sub and replace the rest.  Any recommendations?  Budget of say 250T.

If you like the B&W sound, you can retain the 602 S3 for surround channel duty, and get the 805 Diamond and HTM4 Diamond for your front stage. Make sure that your Receiver / Power Amp is up to the task of powering these speakers. :)

Why don't you consider a full Polk Audio LSI set up:
1) LSi25 or LSi15 floorstanding
2) LSiC center
3) LSi9 or LSi7 bookshelf

or you can consider the full Polk Audio RTi set up:
1) RTi A9 or RTi A7 floorstanding
2) CSi A6 center
3) RTi A3 or RTi A1 bookshelf/ FXiA4 or FXi A6 bipole / dipole speakers

Check out www.polkaudio.com for details, or you can audition them at the Mandarin HiFi show at the end of this month.
