Hello to the masters, this isn't a brand specific request, more of a size recommendation... I'm trying to find the smallest full range bookshelf (passive, of course) that is currently available... here's why, I'm trying to set up a "hybrid system" that consists of the afforementioned bookshelves, a T-amp which runs on batteries (dayton dta-1), and a powered sub...
The reason for this is I want to be able to "detach" the satellites, when going on out-of-town trips, hence the battery powered amp, and use the full setup when at home...
The smallest pair I know of are the Audioengine A2s, but they are active... I found some mirage (
http://www.miragespeakers.com/bookshelf-speakers/?sku=NANOSAT-BS) satellites, part of a 5.1 setup but are sold individually on Amazon, but they only go to 110Hz... If you guys have better alternatives, please do let me know!
