I recently bought a universal dock for my iPod. I have now connected the dock to my receiver so I can use my speakers to listen to the mp3s on my ipod. Here's my question, what will happen if I put a cmoy amp in between the universal dock and the receiver? Will there be a difference in sound? I'm just curious as to what the results will be if ever. I'm too chicken to actually try it as I might damage either the receiver or the ipod.

Your CMOY amp will act like a pre-amp. Best that you have your receiver at 9:00 position and the CMOY amp at min position. Slowly turn up knob of CMOY amp until you get satisfactory volume.

it shouldn't be necessary to do that - the output of the ipod should be sufficient. better to use the cmoy to power up headphones
money is best spent
