Buena Vista Home Entertainment has announced the Mel Gibson directed Apocalypto which stars Rudy Youngblood, and Dalia Hernandez. The disc will be available to own from the 22nd May this year, and should retail at around $29.99. The film itself will be presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with DTS 5.1, and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround tracks. English, French, and Spanish subtitles will also be provided. Extras will include an audio commentary with Mel Gibson and co-writer Farhad Safinia, a Becoming Mayan: Making Apocalypto featurette, and a deleted scene with optional commentary by Mel Gibson and Farhad Safinia.

March 16, 2007 - On May 22, 2007, Buena Vista Home Entertainment will release Apocalypto on DVD. The movie revolves around an ancient civilization and the brutal rituals that they prescribe to, and will feature tons of bonus materials and extra features. It will be available for the MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) of $29.99.
