Now this I never expected..

Universal Studios Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of The 40-Year Old Virgin (Unrated Special Edition) for 22nd May 2007 priced at $26.98 SRP. In this smash hit comedy, Steve Carell takes the title role of a nerdish electronics store clerk who harbours an embarrassing secret. Catherine Keener and Paul Rudd also star.

Released in advance of the theatrical debut of writer-director Judd Apatow's new comedy Knocked Up, features on this new two-disc Special Edition are currently TBC, though we expect all content from the original 1-Disc Unrated edition to be carried over.
