                              POLTERGEIST 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION - Very disappointing release to think that it's one of most celebrated movies of the '80's and it deserves to have a plethora of special features (look at what Anchor Bay has done with John Carpenter's 25th Anniversary release of HALLOWEEN). Hopefully the Tobe Hooper-helmed haunted house flick will goes down to P199 in the future but I think matagal pa 'yun. Parang 'di worth 'yung price on the market although mas mahal pa rin ang price niya sa Singapore and it is the same Region 3 release.

you got that right.  i have the r3 snapcase version of this which was so bare bones.  when i heard they were coming out with the 25th anniversary ed, i was sorta ecstatic because i was hoping they would at least include a featurette on the so-called poltergeist curse that plagued two of the female stars,  but sadly, there isnt.

             Me, too. The 'infamous' POLTERGEIST CURSE is very much expected by any horror fans or even just a plain viewer in this DVD. I was kind of expecting that as part of a feature in its 25th Anniversary release. I think your POLTERGEIST DVD (which is black and errie, I believe) even has a better 'cover' than the ones recently released. Region 1 released a darker shade of blue while the Region 3 is 'white'. Which segues me to: THE LADY IN WHITE (1988) (a great film, by the way) released by MGM has an impressive features. It's not even labeled as 'special or deluxe edition.'
