comparing with its previous model wl66e, the wl68e has a finer picture quality touch (easy on the eyes)probably due to its 100hz/120hz signal and also it`s color are more vivid. just my opinion

New model also has pip, 2 hdmi etc..

I`m also considering this if the price is not that far from n71.

It also says that all wl68e models are already 1080p capable even though they `re resolution are set at 1368 x 768. Well, this part im confused. Is it possible to have 1 mega pixel to have 1080p?

I'm also considering this series. So far, the Cnet Asia review is the only lengthy review I could find. The 32WL68E is currently going for around 85k.

I think what this means is it can receive 1080p signal and down-scale it to 720p. Full HD on the WL68E series is only available on the 47".

sights and sounds and listening in style. sights and sounds said it has local warranty... forgot to ask if it was toshiba warranty. listening in style had the 32WL68E on display last friday but i didn't have time to demo it. i'm sure the 85k is still open for discount if paying in cash.

toshiba lcd group buy?  ;D

It's quite common for 1M LCDs to have the "capability" to display D5 (1080p).  Call it downrezzing or what have you.  Sony Bravia is quite popular i in the Philippines.  Those 32 and 40 inch S and V series are only 1MP panels yet they are 1080 capable.   You dont need a full HD panel (2M pixel) to have 1080p capability/compatibility, but it sure is a good idea.

BTW, right now AFAIK, only Sharp offers full 2MP with 32V size.  Very very nice, but very very expensive.
