Hi, just want to ask,
If you have 35k - meron ba mabibiling 16:9 na FlatScreen TV?
Anung brand and model po kaya?
TV would be used mostly for standard TV programs (esp noon time shows - gagamitin kasi ng parents ko )
and , sometimes for DVD Movies.
Okay lang din standard TV kaso wala ako masyado alam.
I'm currently eeying for Samsung SlimFitTV 29" (4:3).
Thanks in advance! Appricate your inputs.
more power to PinoyDVD!
For standard tv viewing, CRT is still adviseable considering very little of our local broadcasts are in widescreen. Hence, standard TVs with 4:3 ratio are still good. But if you're really looking for 16:9 for DVD viewing, pricing in a few months may decrease further if recent trends continue. I was told that they are starting to phase out CRTs so LCD prices may continue to drop.
Just a reminder: LCDs still tend to show some grain and pixelation at some TV broadcast. While other channels may seem to be clearer on LCDs than on our old CRTs, there are some channels that the grains and pixels do become apparent.
The problem is we can not test standard broadcast in most if not all appliance stores. All most of us see are the HD generated demo broadcast that really show the most that these LCDs can give. Plus, be advised that channels will generally be jumbled on LCD TVs.
With that being said, I don't regret buying my LCD.
