If you have 35K ...
« on: Mar 11, 2007 at 02:43 PM »
Hi, just want to ask,
If you have 35k - meron ba mabibiling 16:9 na FlatScreen TV?

Anung brand and model po kaya?

TV would be used mostly for standard TV programs (esp noon time shows - gagamitin kasi ng parents ko  ;D)
and , sometimes for DVD Movies.

Okay lang din standard TV kaso wala ako masyado alam.
I'm currently eeying for Samsung SlimFitTV 29" (4:3).

Thanks in advance! Appricate your inputs.

LCD 20" 16:9  meron for @19k or less

CRT from pier, maraming nagbebenta sa pinoyDVD....

and probably the best would be to wait another month or two... ipon pa konti, by that time 32" LCD should be in the 35-40k range...

Actually Hyundai 32" LCD is just 49,999 SRP, so tawad price would be 42-45k lang siguro.  Same with Samsung 32" Slimfit (but maraming complaints sa model na ito...see thread in Standard TV forum).

For standard tv viewing, CRT is still adviseable considering very little of our local broadcasts are in widescreen. Hence, standard TVs with 4:3 ratio are still good.  But if you're really looking for 16:9 for DVD viewing, pricing in a few months may decrease further if recent trends continue.  I was told that they are starting to phase out CRTs so LCD prices may continue to drop.

Just a reminder:  LCDs still tend to show some grain and pixelation at some TV broadcast.  While other channels may seem to be clearer on LCDs than on our old CRTs, there are some channels that the grains and pixels do become apparent.

The problem is we can not test standard broadcast in most if not all appliance stores.  All most of us see are the HD generated demo broadcast that really show the most that these LCDs can give.  Plus, be advised that channels will generally be jumbled on LCD TVs.

With that being said, I don't regret buying my LCD.

I just got the R71.  I didn't want to spend any more.  Besides, after comparing all these sets, I realized that I really wouldn't be able to tell the difference from a couple of feet away from the screen.

Ill just buy that great set like you already have when the price has dipped a bit more so that I can afford a nice 42 incher.  Hopefully 1080p compliant.  Hehehe... Syempre ang tagal pa niyan.

if i had 35k i'd wait a few more months till that 35k grows to around 45 - 50.  by then prices would've dropped further, and you'd be able to get a nicer 32" lcd tv like one of those samsungs or sharps rather than forcing the issue right now and getting a no brand untested unit.

gulp . . . that sounds like a good advice for me too instead of pushing forward with buying with 19" lcd. easier with someone else's problem :)

Bought a Samsung 940mg for 20k. So if I have 35k, I would still have 15k left. Unting dagdag na lang PS3 20gb na or Xbox 360 for HD. ;D

i think is saw this unit also. but with the toshibas and the samsungs dropping down in price to the 50k level, you're better off with the branded ones. buti sana kasi kung full hd na yung skyworth for that price, but it's still the 1366x768 panel as the s200's and 32lw66's.

For 35k, a LG 226wtq (15k), and a xbox360 (20k).

went to sm appliance, yup, CRT is still better for standard broadcast.

I read in an ad sa newspaper (July 14 The Philippine Star yata) ng Listening Group...

They've got a promo for Yes LCD 32" TV  - model LTV324HD (http://iloveyes.net/products.php?id=29&lang=&catg=10). SRP is 54,xxx... Trade in your old "working" TV, you'll get 20,000 off... so you'll be needing to pay 34,xxx na lang tapos up to 12mos 0% interest pa with participating credit cards. :o

Nakaka-temp nga eh.... :o I'll visit one of their stores na lang din if i have some time to get more info...  ;D

As far as I can remember, walang nakalagay kung hanggang kelan. Wala ring nakalagay kung ano dapat ang size ng TV to be traded in.

I guess mas maganda, mapuntahan talaga sila..  ;D

Previously they also have this kind of promo. And as far as I can recall any size basta working kahit yung TV na wala pang remote control puwede  ;)

Galing po ako kanina sa Listening Room sa MegaMall... Any TV 14" and above pwede i-trade in basta working condition.

Though, sad to day, ubos na raw stock ng YES LTV324HD... :-\

...but meron naman LG 32LC2R @ P39,xxx - no trade-in needed.  :o Pwede rin 12mos 0% interest  - or pag cash, 10% less pa! (that's if I remember all the details right ha)...  ::)

Eto lang po ang nakita kong medyo comprehensive specs nung LG 32LC2R
http://www.dealtime.com/xPF-LG-32LC2R

(Itchy mode na naman ako!)  :-X
